Re: [Suggestion] Large regular doors

But . . . what would that even look like?

Myself, when I want to use a two lane entrance with regular access, I use two regular doors, side by side, but flip one so that the handles face each other, and they open opposite to each other. Works pretty much the same as what you're discussing.

Re: [Suggestion] Bridges

Bridges kind of feel super necessary since there are lakes already in the game. It'd be really handy if there were some means for the player to utilize the lakes more thanks to bridges, rather than just treating them like super walls/hazards.

Re: Remote Doors and Door Timers

This is actually a huge problem as far as I'm concerned. With the current situation, timed remote doors are effectively useless. The whole point of the timed remote door is to create effective temporary walls. That's the only possible reason for them. Otherwise you'd use a different type of door (th...

Re: PA Alpha 29: Considerations

I've mentioned before that a Commissary Room would work as both a Post office solution and a way to bring in a Prisoner Currency/Economy over here - http://forums.introversion.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=18466#p582970 It's the one room that serves two needs! As for the Chapel naming - this game i...

Re: Are books a 'game changer' in terms of personal property

Well, in the real world the way it works is in a cycle: - Prisoner does some work in the jail, is paid to an account the Jail keeps track of, in real currency but a very low wage (prisoners can be paid almost nothing). - Prisoners then go to the commissary to use these wages to buy Commissary luxuri...

Re: library

how does the library work i put it down but there are no "qualified" prisoners, also there are no programs for it What's not in the game (from what I can tell) is that Prisoners need to have passed the Foundational Education program in a classroom and have credit for it (which is just bas...

Re: Concern about parole policy

Perhaps a bit more immersion with the parole system without going too micro-managerially in depth is to set each security level to a different parole %. It would make sense that lower security levels will have a less chance to re-offend and therefor be more apt to be paroled. Or have a requirement ...

Re: Concern about parole policy

It sure seems like the parole room is the most contentious of the new features in this Alpha, at least judging from the reaction here on the forums. On the one hand, I think everyone's happy that parole is now a factor in the game. It's a pretty necessary part of a prison simulation after all. It's ...

Re: [Suggestion] Smart Prisoners

I wrote up a pretty complex version of what is essentially a "Smart Prisoner" idea over here http://forums.introversion.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=51653#p582920 Needless to say, yeah, "Smart" prisoners, and/or the ability for some prisoners to come up with more in depth plans...

Re: [Suggestion] - New reputations

Reps are certainly one of those things that's in the game right now that needs an expansion before it really feels "complete". Right now almost all of the Reps are related entirely to violence and fighting ability. Seems like there definitely need to be new reps and a lot of what's in this...

Re: [SUGGESTION] Towers

Yeah, I too noticed the sniper in the bank when he showed all of the "priest" sprites, but it was darkened out, denoting that either it's a leftover concept or one that's going to be implemented. Here's hoping it's a "going to be implemented" rather than cut content!

Re: [Suggestion] Filtered Deliveries

In general I think there need to be demarcations and/or filters for a lot of rooms, with a method similar to how offices receive specific room names to denote them for their more specific purposes on the map. Stuff like Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary demarcations for Kitchens and Laundries, depend...

Re: Updates (alpha 29)

I like the new Alpha, but concerning the library...did anbody else encounter problems with it? My library is filled with crates full of books, but my prisoners won't sort and take the books. You need to have prisoners that have passed the general education course as a requirement for them working i...

Re: [suggestion] Books => Library Trolley, Bookshelves

Well, in general this fits into the same paradigm as a "meals on wheels" for prisoners who are locked up much more often. If you have a system where prisoners are delivered food because they're sequestered from the rest of the population, then a system where a library trolley goes to deliv...
