Disappointed with Dorms
So Dorms list their minimum size as 2x3. In the video, the dev created example was 2x3. With Small Cells (which I do realize only applies to standard cells), prisoners only need 3 tiles of space at minimum. The 2x3 minimum requirement for dorms seemed in line with that. Instead, they need 4 tiles of...

Re: Bootstraps final polaroid missing (SPOILERS)
Lowew79 and caveatgez: Do you have left side land extensions? I finally found mine during a time when my prisoners were all in the canteen and not cluttering cells, sitting on a pillow at the same distance from the current left edge of my map as the road originally was. It occurred to me that it mig...

Re: Bootstraps final polaroid missing (SPOILERS)
I'm having the same issue. I even dismantled my roadgates. I tried reloading to see if the polaroid would show when it failed to spawn, but having made the mistake of saving after the mayor's call, I can't go back to before that. The polaroid is simply not there at all. We can't get credit for compl...

Re: No benefits for Minimum Security ?
Oh hey, so I'm not the only one who's noticed that even in the exact same conditions , min-sec are the only guys who seem to attempt escape. Constant tunnel attempts from them, but nothing from the other guys, which is a little baffling. I've got one A25 prison with max-sec (and prot and supermax) o...

Re: Legal System (Alpha 25)
I'm not sure why or how you assumed I was talking about automation, I was offering more manual management for passive involvement. Again this is IMO contradicting the non-automation theory. That's why and how. I can sort of see your intended interpretation after seeing your objection to that and re...

Re: Cell Size and Capacity Suggestion
I still think 3x4 is a little too large a minimum size if all you want is 2 prisoners in a multi-cell, rather than 3-4 prisoners. 3x3 allows 2 beds and a toilet (probably at the end of one of the beds) with a little space to spare.

Re: Legal System (Alpha 25)
I think it's actually supposed to punish us , rather than making things easier on us through automation. Failed to control this guy and let him do something which should never have happened? Congrats, you get to deal with him for even longer. I think it's intended to add to the challenge of managing...

Re: Problem with fights
Volatiles need to be separated from the bulk of your population. Inciters may also be a good idea to segregate. You can keep a non-volatile Inciter happy, but the moment he's at all unhappy, your prison is in chaos or rioting. If you're not perfectly optimized yet, they can wreak havoc. Other traits...

Re: Cell Size and Capacity Suggestion
I'd suggest a 3x3 minimum size, but yes, I do very much like the idea of double-occupancy, non-bunkbed setups.

Re: How long does it take for a prisoner to starve to death?
Hi Taxen2, From my findings, you don't need to worry much. Every plus sign of starving = 720 points in the save file (1 - 720, 721 - 1441) . The maximum is 7,200 points. It takes one in-game minute for each point. Once at maximum starve, the prisoner starts taking damage. 1.3% of health for every 1...

Re: Dirty Clothes and Lazy Prisoners
I noticed the tables being highlighted when hovering over the laundry, so I put one table in each laundry room but have yet to see them use it for anything. I've seen clean clothes folded up and stacked on them a few times. Like others, my laundry started working much better when I added a normal t...

Re: Alpha-25 Don't like the Regime slots collapsing down
Couldnt they just make the bar of the shared regime time a mixture of the required colours? Not a blend, but just slashed with the different colour, so if Max and Mid had the same activity it would be have a slash in the middle with each half being red and orange respectively. That's a great sugges...

Re: I can't repair anything in High Security section
Are the doors locked/are guards available to let the repairman in? If you mouse over the incomplete job, does it give a message about the area being "too dangerous" for the workmen? If there's fighting or rioting going on near by (or too few guards, I think?), you might have circumstances ...

Re: Legendary Prisoners
@Arwan: My Supermax setup is similar, and they also only get out to eat. The problem is that while they're out to eat, they tend to kill. When they kill, they get flagged Max instead of Supermax (this bug is already in Mantis), and if you miss this, he'll end up among your Max-sec population again. ...

Re: Cooks don't prepare enough meals in advance
I thought it was 2 cooks, 2 cookers, 1 fridge, 1 sink. But I'm not 100% sure on that. So much information when you look stuff up is outdated; just the nature of a relatively fast-updating Alpha with new features being added and bugs being squished. I think at mid quantity a serving table can serve 4...
