that does not work if you are trying to scout a territory all in all I think a tanker would just be more convenient

Ok so no ground warfare but what about tankers I dont see why these wouldn't work especially with fighters such short fuel ranges and some times if you send a bomber to a far away target huch as from the top right of North America to Moscow they run out of fuel before they can return

Since fighters have such short fuel ranges I think tankers would be usefull to refuel fighters they could be lanch from carries and air bases 1 on carries and 3 on air bases a tanker lanch from a carrier could refuel 2 fighters or 1 bomber no transport planes (second paragraph) or 1 of each.
