Re: Bug Report - Unmanned Remote Control <Solution Found>
My solution is to put the remote Control box inside prison (inside inmate area), use standard key&lock doors to the security office, and then put one-way pressure plates into the prison (so there is free way INTO the prison but no free way OUT of prison), keeping prisoners in. Thus, if the guard...

Re: Prison Architect Alpha 29
One thing that is a bit unclear, is in which way the slider works. If I set it to 0%, will 0% of prisoners be denied parole, or will 0% be allowed parole? (assuming a flat reoffending profile on all prisoners) The labels 0% and 100% should be changed to "Approve all" and "Deny all&quo...

Re: [Idea] How to solve the AI problem
BGK: Yes, certain rare non-symmetrical layouts like this: SS##################CC SS##################CC CC CC ## ## ## ## ## S = security C = canteen # = cell Then inmates belongning to the leftmost half of the horizantal cellblock, will of course select the canteen belonging to the vertical cell bl...

Re: [Idea] How to solve the AI problem
BGK: Even if it would be a Little longer to his canteen, it would still be a better option to have that the prisoner selects his canteen nearest to his cell with regards that most of the time, the prisoner is in the near vicinity of his cell. Many prisons also evolve around different "wings&quo...

[Idea] Secure Serving Table and Secure Visitation Table
2 items: Secure Serving Table: Item type: Wall / Serving table. Needs to be placed as a wall between a kitchen and canteen for it to function. (item is itself a wall so a wall does not need to be built, eg placing this on a wall should do as same as for the door, demolishing any wall tiles that this...

[Idea] How to solve the AI problem
I have a idea how the game could solve these AI problems with Cooks, kitchens, yards and such that causes prisoners to run over the whole map for the "incorrect" canteen: Here, im going to present a different proximity idea for Rooms than for Objects. Since, in 100 % of cases, it would be ...

Re: [Suggestion] Guards remove prisoners from staff only are
It does already this. Guards will not let prisoners enter staff-only areas and they will go and baton down prisoners who are unauthorizedly in staff only areas. However, the thing you see is normally caused by the area losing its Staff-only designation. This happens anytime you do a modification to ...

Re: Logic airlock-like entrance
Its possible to use NORs without oscillation. Try this .prison file. Click the guard and right-click anywhere to move the guard and see how the airlock works. Even if both pressure pressure plates are actuated at the same time, both doors will NEVER open at the same time. (if both plates is actuated...

Re: Logic airlock-like entrance
Did make a improved version of a airlock, that REALLY forces the first door to Close Before the other one can open. Here you do it: You need: 2 doors 4 pressure plates 5 (!) servos. 3 of them will NOT be attached to a door. 2 door timers 2 Power switches. 6 logic gates (3 NOR, 1 AND, 2 OR) Lets call...

Re: Can't update
Where did you buy the game?
Im unsure, but I Think that if you registred the game via a PSTEAM key you cannot access the Mac version (?),
Or have you registred your CD key at all? Can you access the developer forum?

Re: Snitches and legendarys
I would advise against doing directly from Eat to Sleep (which happens at 10pm for Lockup, Sleep or FreeTime), because some prisoners seem to want to change clothes and do certain other things just Before going to bed. And I guess no exercise machine or chair on cell? Your "Exercise" need,...

Re: Hint: Make a one-way metal detector
Did found a workaround to the "logic not affecting powerswitches" bug: Connect it to a servo which is not attached to a door. Then connect the servo to the Power switch. http://i.imgur.com/MObbOrV.jpg This is a more stable solution. Instead of turning on the metal detector at exit, it turn...

Re: Mass escape attempt
RichieGrape: That can be the reason too, that the inmates have no Tools. Tought they could dig tunnels once they had the "clever" hidden trait, but would dig slower without Tools. Thats a reason to not give your inmates access to kitchen and no workshop or such things. Im unsure if they ca...

Re: Mass escape attempt
I have never had any tunnels in my prison. But since Im keep the prisoners "Freedom" need to zero at all times, they dont want to escape my prison. Only had one single escape in my prison and that was due to rebuilding a large section of the prison. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/fi...
