Re: Shares system is easily abused

As soon as I saw the Alpha 19 video I realised this would be a problem and set out to build a jail to prove it. (My plan was to simply sell all shares, sell my entire prison, buy all shares back). That works, but it's not as abusable as simply have a riot or letting people escape, as that has a much...

I shared Mark's excitment throughout the video.

For now I think no 'Line of sight' and simple circles (rather than some kind of direction facing cone) for the guards is absoultely fine though.

A guard watching too many cameras at once should be able to 'miss' things, though?

I am completely struggling to build a couple of rooms and have them function as I intend them. This thread seems to relate to my #1 most serious gripe right now, which is frustrating the hell out of me Really? Just build a big 'building' via the 'foundation' zone then manually partition it up using...

That's avoiding the point. People might not have signed up for the tester role per se, but what happens in this forum is really very much about testing. It doesn't matter what label you have - whether you call yourself a tester or not, bug reporting should happen in a structured manner to be useful...

They'll only go in there if they want to use the things you place inside it, e.g. a pool table. Infact I've only ever seen the pool table used. They seem to ignore the tv, benches, chairs, phones and bookcases when placed in the common room.

Another related bug/problem: * Zone out a fence, or another wall (i.e. build a fence, but go into slow mo to do the next step before your workmen start actually constructing it) * Try and lay any pipe, even a small one, under the 'in construction' wall * Get denied. I'm forward planning, as nothing ...

Suggestion: Workmen context hover should show job %

Suggestion: Add the job progress to the box that pops up when you hover over a person doing a job.

Small suggestion, as sometimes the green 'progress' gradient is hard to see, e.g. if the workman is getting someone out of a big box.

While meaning no particular offense to anyone, the majority of the current set of testers seems to have zero experience reporting bugs in a structured manner. If you don't know how to report properly, the reporting tool will not make a difference. They're not testers, they're players who have bough...

ps: I did a test and you can get away with a few small pipes joining up big pipes without much loss of pressure. (red=no water, green = water) http://i.imgur.com/znf3L.png also: I didn't realise I accidently linked two things at the bottom, where the red x is. When removing the red X big pipe the le...

Assuming this isn't a bug but an actual design decision, which is an idea I find pretty ridiculous, then I think it's a terrible one. (Is there an official verdict on wether this is a bug or a feature?) Two ways to get pipes into buildings: a) pipes-first * Lay pipe * Build building b) walls-first *...

I disagree with everything Ada has to say about this feature. I like the pipes.

Why does a foundation require a door? What's the use in it to the game engine? To allow the workmen a way to escape once the room is made? You could always delay the final creation event until all the workmen are off of the blueprint, if that is the issue.

I agree. It would also serve to keep the bug reports serious, and stop all the LOL BUG SO FUNNY crap that spams up most of the threads.

Changing Mouse buttons?

Is there anyway to change what the mouse buttons do, perhaps in the form of a mod? I find the current layout a bit confusing and leads me to accidently sending planes when I want to move or select a new ship etc.
