Re: [Suggestion] Walk/Stand lines

https://youtu.be/AomWRTqpzS8 Follow the line reminds me of this film. I'd like these lines, especially colour coded based on security level of the prisoner.

Re: [suggestion] Phone tap scheduler

Phone calls should get recorded, then the phone tap machine has a queue of conversations that can be listened to at any time.

Re: Feeding prisoners takes too long

Whilst that formulae is fairly simple, I'd love it if someone would write that up. Here's hoping it'll go into a tutorials. Didn't know about the ratio of fridges to cookers. I thought as there's food coming in every day, I was being generous with 3, and I have 11 cookers. I even put tables in my ki...

Re: Total revamp required to movement time?

You're right. It's annoying when one part of my prison, less than 100 meters away, holding the yard, or workshop, and there's the canteen, and often the prisoners start to file in slowly but by then it's too late and they're leaving unfed.

Re: Feeding prisoners takes too long

There's no way to attach .prison files here but I'd be willing to upload the save somewhere online if anyone wants to try it for themselves. What i keep doing is making a new prison, spending all day on it, then when it goes tits up (usually when over 100 inmates) I just restart and do another. I ha...

As you can see, to get to and from the canteen they have to go through a metal detector and two locking doors that have a servo assist. Now, witho...

Re: [suggestion] Prisoner types and event

I didn't want to make a new post for prisoner transfer but prisoners being transferred is used as a punishment. I'm running a Cat B & C prison (or minimum and normal security for non UK) with a small protective custody wing. I have Cat A/max sec prisoners now because they've been misbehaving and...

Re: Prison Architect in the real world

£40,000 per annum for each prisoner in the UK. There's a few private prisons run by Serco here and the there are concerns that they'll convince the UK government that privatised prisons are the way to go. Which means guaranteed occupancy rates. Which means mandatory minimums. Which means lots of pro...

Re: You jest but it could be a gem.

I like how I paid once for prison architect and now I have the full game and don't have to pay anymore. The mobile games "freemium" model is fucking awful.

This short demonstration will explain why it's not a good idea.

Re: Minimum security prison/Class D

I heard that class D prisons (where they put prisoners with long term sentences before their release) are like housing estates with a 3 foot fence around them. And that you can't escape from them, you abscond. The reasoning being that the prison service is giving you (the now class D inmate) an oppo...

Minimum security prison/Class D

Was watching this documentary about prisons in Norway https://youtu.be/C4beUC3-ckw And if I've linked to the right one, it shows prisoners are living in chalets, have their own kitchen and bathroom, and are expected to wake themselves up and go to work. A prison system without a regime, or walls, an...

Re: Feature request: Crushing walls

Lol yes I was joking. I had a friend over and we were having a laugh seeing how many prisoners can you fit into a 5x5 holding cell. Honestly, I don't know. And I like crushing walls! No one said (apart from when the CEO rings and never hangs up, making me mute volume as it was getting annoying) I ha...

Re: [Suggestion] Sabotaging Prison, First person control??

what about a topdown view like the escapists?

It's a shame that game is made by another group. I for one would like to see prison architect being used as a map maker for that.

Re: Free copy of tablet version for current PC owners?

In that analogy, car dealerships offer a part exchange where they buy back your used car at reduced value. But that's because they can sell it on for profit because it's a physical product. That doesn't work with the software world.
