i think they wanted us to be able to "rule by force" and this was one of the steps towards it, not sure if they have moved on from the idea

Yep i feel the same way, i now only export planks.

When i was doing carpentry i had a build up of planks as my 10-20 carpenters (which is a nice amount) still couldnt keep up.

On the next prison i made i didnt train anyone in carpentry and i now get a lot more profits from exports for less work.

Someone suggested once a solution to a work problem which would apply here, being able to set TWO regimes at once,

ie
EAT/x
Once eaten can start x regime

WORK/x
x regime for those not working

SHOWER/x
x regime once the hygiene need is 0 for a prisoner

I kinda like it

Prisoners will only sleep between 10pm-8am. They will wake up automatically at 8am and will go to sleep at 10pm onwards in freetime/lockup or sleep regimes The only way to wake them up during this time is shower, eat or yard. But who'd drive the truck when they die then? What happens at the moment when that happens? never seen it personally! At least if one dies the other could drive it away Also: one is already annoying enough given how fast they jump to pick things up despite a big chunk of workmen right next to them....

Changing the delivery man so that they offload goods was a great change and definitely helped with the flow of traffic through delivery/exports.
How about one step further... 2 delivery men! One driver and one passenger, and they both help out unloading.

I believe what you're referring to is already a feature - Confidential Informants. If a prisoner is suppressed (I think that's the right term), you can open their profile, and have an opportunity to recruit them.
