Re: Timer events bug
I had this happen to me, but I kept playing and the event ended in the due course of time. I think it may be that the event is still running as per its usual duration, but just not displaying the timer. Give it a few days in game and see what happens, imo. If it doesn't end after 90 hours or so, you...

Re: This god damn event system...
This seems like it could be solved pretty easily with hotkeys. Hold a button or two while you click on a prisoner to send them to lockup or solitary. It would keep the monitoring of individual prisoners aspect, but take away the tedium of having to navigate multiple steps through the UI every single...

Re: [Suggestion] Security Personel Only Deployment Zones
The one issue I see from this suggestion is that it would prevent janitors and gardeners from cleaning the zone up, which would quickly result in it turning into a mass of filth. Perhaps an ideal would be a way of zoning things so that entities with specific tasks within those areas could enter them...

Re: Major lag with a massive prison
I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that most people aren't going to be willing to buy over two dozen gigs of extra RAM just to play high population Prison Architect. I mean, I'm a huge fan of this game, but jeez.

Re: gang leaders
Fortunately, you can mod them in pretty easily. Just open your prison save file in a text editor and search for 'Gang.Rank'. Change that field from 'Soldier' to 'Leader' and you have a functioning gang leader, regardless of whether or not he happens to be a legendary. (Obviously, you need a regular ...

Re: [Suggestion] Player-named security levels
What it seems to boil down to is how many degrees of granularity is beneficial for sorting prisoners. Obviously, an infinite number of security categories would be overkill, but some people might find the current amount a little too small. I'm guessing that around ten would be the 'sweet spot' where...

Re: [Suggestion] Guard towers, and how they could work
Within the current design guidelines of the game engine, I think it makes more sense to have guard towers as designated, enclosed rooms with special objects and windows, rather than an object that the guard 'mans' like a vehicle. It's a lot more akin to a building than it is to a regular object. I'm...

Re: [Suggestion] Ability to remove visiting rights
You can accomplish this sort of by changing the prisoner to a security level that doesn't have access to a visitation room. But implementing it as a punishment makes a lot more thematic sense and would allow for much more sophisticated filtering. (Even if that filtering is mostly for roleplaying pur...

[Suggestion] Sophisticated Destruction Priorities
While a few threads have touched on the idea of general prison sabotage by the prisoners as a bundle of different features, the most important part of that seems to me, the only part that really needs emphasizing, is just the concept of 'appropriate' item destruction. Currently, although prisoners c...
