Re: [suggestion] penalties for blowing your CIs' cover
That's kindof my point, there's not much of an excuse for allowing it to happen, so it should be really punishing if it does.

[suggestion] penalties for blowing your CIs' cover
The Confidential Informant system is powerful because prisoners are willing to be CIs fairly frequently, so you can recruit lots of them and cycle them out before any of their suspicion levels get too high. The problem I see is that there's very little penalty for blowing a CI's cover and getting th...

Re: [question/suggestion] Can prisoners detect fog of war?
But what if prisoners have their back turned and can't see the guard? Fog of war applies to both sides of course. *prisoner selling spoons to his fellows.... "What's all this then?" - booms the armed guard behind them... Guards have 360 degree vision through walls, so I don't see why pris...

Re: [question/suggestion] Can prisoners detect fog of war?
Seems like the effect should probably be limited to the area the guard can directly "see", so if you have a single guard patrolling a huge cell block or a large open area there might be consequences for that.

[question/suggestion] Can prisoners detect fog of war?
As in, is their behavior altered when there are no guards in the immediate vicinity? I haven't really observed anything that would indicate as such, like having a guard resume a patrol only to find out objects were destroyed and prisoners were injured / dead. I think it'd make things more interestin...

Re: [Suggestion] Prison Policy to search all new prisoners
<snip>. And all of that I would assume is each prisons policy, something that in this game I am meant to be able to determine. If I am going through a spat of high intake and searching the prisoners is taking to long, and I'm ok with running a shoddy jail, I would want to be able to turn it off, ju...

Re: [Suggestion] Larger Clone Tool Size
When you search, are you having it give you results as individual posts, or as topics? And are you restricting your search to the Prison Architect forums? Are you clicking on the results to read the topics? When I searched " larger clone ", six topics were returned. One of those was this ...

Re: [Suggestion] Larger Clone Tool Size
I did a search for "larger clone" and "bigger clone" and didn't see any titles that were directly relevant, so, oops.
My bad.

[Suggestion] Larger Clone Tool Size
Currently the clone tool is limited to cloning a 6x6 area, which is about the size of a single cell if that cell is very large. This is extremely useful and greatly accelerates the construction of cell blocks, but what if you could go a step further? What if you could clone an entire cell block? Or ...

Re: How to post a suggestion or question
Suppose I've got two suggestions that are both related to a single feature of the game (in this case the clone tool), but they're separate ideas... do I post them both in the same thread or in separate threads?

Re: [Suggestion] Prison Policy to search all new prisoners
I see, that makes sense, thanks Xander. If the mechanism of visitors bringing in contraband changes then it might become a point to raise. I agree that there would be consequences for searching visitors who do not actually have contraband, I was just saying that I recently had a conversation with a...

Re: [Suggestion] Prison Policy to search all new prisoners
I wonder if you could just make it so visitors who set off dogs / metal detectors get searched and their contraband confiscated? As has been noted every other time that the idea of searching visitors has been suggested, the game currently doesn't model visitor possession of contraband. Right now, v...

Re: [Suggestion] Prison Policy to search all new prisoners
I think that sounds like a great idea. Can I add another idea to the mix and suggest we should add in searching visitors as an option as well, to prevent inmates getting handed contraband during visitations. I think that is a realistic security measure that takes place during visits, especially in ...

Re: [Suggestion] Prison Policy to search all new prisoners
In building my prison I found that after a certain point almost all of the drugs coming into my prison were coming in through intake. I was able to prevent prisoners from getting drugs through visitation by assigning dogs to the entrance of that room, but I didn't want to assign dog handlers to pat...
