Re: [Suggestion] Video phone
This is a good idea....I know some places which do not allow visitation at all. Instead they have remote visitation via video phones which are recorded. When family comes to visit they go into a visitation center which is nothing but banks of video phones that link back to a similar unit in the hous...

Re: Removing the "Total prison lockdown" for executions
Hate to break it to you but this is real life protocol as well. Here is how I handle it. Remember whats going on......You have to march visitors through your prison to the Death Chamber. Like hell do you want prisoners to be free during this time. Think about the publicity if a visitor gets knocked ...

Re: (Question) 64Bits Windows OS
I can comment a bit from the hardware side and gaming on Windows. Windows 7, 8, and 10 64-bit prefer at least 8 GB of ram for the OS and programs to work comfortably. From what specs you gave, I would bet your PC does not have enough ram for the OS and the game to co-exist comfortably. With 4 GB ram...

Give Prisoners a memory
Just a thought here..... This is something that has been missing for along time. Prisoners really need some kind of better AI that also takes into account rewards rather than just ticking off. Example: If I do X then I am going to spend Y in the hole. I really want to talk to my family on the phone ...

Re: Fun feature of dormitories
I have a general policy.....the dorm can gets 24/7 guard patrol supervision. Especially at night. Someone has said that if you don't put doors on the cans then they prisoners wont tunnel because they don't have enough privacy from the guards. Generally I station at least a couple of guards in my dor...

Re: Cannot change gang member cell - bug or feature?
Frankly, on cell searches and such a Gang member should not have the right to refuse. He should have 2 choices. Comply or fight. Just going to reality. In a real prison if a prisoner says no, the guards take him down and haul him out chained up. If a gang member refuses a search then if you have arm...

Re: Janitors doing laundry...
This is where a new class of prison workers would work nicely I suggested in another post. Trustees. Basically these would run on their own schedule which is basically 8AM - 11PM working with a couple of meals thrown in there for them. If your prisoners were well behaved, they could then earn a posi...

Re: [Suggestion] Hire more than 1 Foreman (like Psychologist
One thing I have suggested is giving you the ability to hire labor from say a carpenter in the community to teach sessions of your workshop related courses but a higher cost per session than if you use your own staff to teach it. Maybe charge it at 2x the normal cost as you have contracting expenses...

Re: why the different guard types are under utilized
I have seen Armed Guards and Dog Handlers both also open doors and answer door requests when convenient. One thing I have suggested is that we need another tier of guards which are paid less but cannot fight. These would be Technicians who ran consoles in the security room freeing up your guards to ...

Re: [Suggestion] - Snitch/Ex Law Enforcement NOT hidden
I have said this before.....some traits should be known to the player from the get go. Think about it. All of these guys have been in jail before they were transferred in. I give you that you may not know all their traits but any dangerous ones such as a known snitch or ex-leo, ex-guard, cop-killer ...

Re: Problem with checking escapes in gang cells
FWIW....in normal prisons a prisoner has zero right to refuse a cell search. If they refuse then the prison swat team puts the beat down on them and their cell gets searched anyway. I would assume it would work the same way here. Just bring several guards into the cell and the zone logic is beat. Sa...

Re: (Request) Designated Prisoner Intake Room
AN idea that would be very useful would be the idea of being able to designate an intake holding cell. Basically, prisoners get off the bus and then get marched by the guard into the intake holding cell and wait for reception from there. In reality the process from what I have seen in documentaries ...

Re: [Suggestion] Electric fence
In reality prison fences are built as a 3 layer no mans land. An inner and outer razor wire fence to protect a central no mans land between them. The electric fence is not as dangerous as you think because it resides inside the protective no mans land between two non-electric fences. Also, it only e...

[Suggestion] Realism Improvement for Taser Certification
Just a suggestion here. Part of the taser certification class should be that every guard going for certification to use a taser must take a full power jolt from one. This is a disadvantage of the taser rollout is that if you have 26 guards in the class, you end up with 26 guards knocked out cold for...

[Suggestion] Workers Perform Workshop Sessions
Just a thought here. Why should the Foreman have to teach the Workshop safety and carpentry sessions? He is a supervisor. Shouldn't normal workmen also be able to teach these sessions? In larger prisons with various security levels, having 1 Foreman that has to do all the session teaching can become...
