Re: March 2014 poll : What next?
I actually like the sandbox mode and wouldn't be interested at all for campaign and even scenarios (although that could change). Didn't see any game breaking bugs (lucky me?) and the game could benefit from balancing the way to make money, but right now, i'm very intrigued by the new mechanisms that...

Re: Yet more on gangs
I'm still more partial to the "personal connections" system. I'm too. But the frequency of gangs' formation/incidents should go up progressively as your prison grow. Otherwise it will be very difficult starts and then close to nothing to do when you reach the limit size of what your compu...

Re: Yet more on gangs
Yeah I was thinking that as I read this thread, a well run prison with satisfied prisoners should have less gang incidents (although I wouldn't mind it if incoming prisoners could have gang affiliations that could start to destabilise a prison) and make gang membership much lower, in effect meaning...

Re: Strange but works fine: Peculiar ways of doing things in
Using the holding cell as an entrance to the prison as guards love to hang around their I can use solitary doors to enter and exit the prison. I use the secruity room as an entrance. Guards also love to hang around there even if you already deployed some guards in it. Hanging guards still more pron...

Re: [suggestionish] Guards and Workers With Names
Good points here (except that in Evil Genius, "good" agents are just treated exactly as the minions, but it doesn't matter here). I'd personally like the staff getting some names, and I understand now why you wouldn't. But with names, players could care or not about them, whereas we actual...

Re: [Suggestion] Regime based on security level.
Nay, it's important to see the number of players that think the same if dev's are lurking around here (could have been better to simply add a poll, though).

Re: [suggestionish] Guards and Workers With Names
Uh uh, sorry. As english is not my mother tongue, I could have misread and seem to be making lots of mistakes. Still, I understand and agree the emphasis on prisoners' human nature, and that staff are not as much at the core of the game. But it doesn't seem fair to me to deshumanize the staff member...

Re: [suggestionish] Guards and Workers With Names
My opinion is still pretty much the same. xander Wut? "Mean system's officials don't deserve names" is pretty a non-sense when talking about humanity in the penitentiary environment. If the game is about thinking of morale vs efficiency, it needs to not have parts easy to sacrify. I'll ma...

Re: Two of any Room
After watching more attentively, they are broken in my prison as well. Visitors waiting in the wrong room prisoners that may never come. But that don't seem to do anything. I've moved and merged visitation rooms though.

Re: [suggestion] vegetable garden, social need, personaliti
Hum... An interesting idea. It could take multiple factors into account, like guards being beaten, tired or overwhelmed. So, in a prison they are often risking their lives they would be more prone to corruption. Problem with that, is it could led into a vicious circle of lowering the security. I lik...

Re: The guard classes should be changed
Hi Evil Genius player! :) I liked you used it as example because Prison Architect seems to share some kind of interesting efficiency vs security concerns when seeting up your rooms. And I believe armory should be used by staff so its layout would matter a lot more as you mentioned. But I also find t...

Re: Two of any Room
Well, I must admit that I wasn't looking after it all the time, and I saw a critical "family" need when looking the pysche valuation, might be a missed appointement. If you say it work 50% of the time, I must take a closer look to it.

Re: [suggestion] vegetable garden, social need, personaliti
I guess it makes sense in a simulation way. But I do not feel the need for staff personalities (except the warden to give some specialization to your very own prison), because they're not really the core of the game, plus I don't see that much differences you could make between two of them. Moreover...
