I believe the developers intent was to optimize so that small and medium sized prisons would run decently and not spend that much time optimizing for larger scale before the game was more complete. I can't find the source of that at the moment though. Sound unreasonable though, the games only inted...

To add to this topic, you could ofc circuumvent some of the mechanics in the game fe. by simply adding properties to the prisoner that he might get from somewhere else, havent tested adding a property he already has, but i guess it will simply set to the given value. I actually gonna try this later ...

What do you mean?
Ground textures arent interactable, you just paint new ground over them (fe. grass or whatever)
If you want to interact with something you have to make an object, not a material.

That being said, you can install it for the non-steam version as well if the mod developer uploads it somewhere else manually.
You can then unpack the mod into
C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\Introversion\Prison Architect\mods

Subscribing should do that, go check if the mod is already aviable ingame, if not try a steam restart.
Steam has to do this automaticly, i wouldnt know that u can force/invoke the download. (in downloads its often merely labled as "Workshop Content")

Dunno if its just me, but i have to create a new save every time, overriding seems to not save at all (i guess its connected to modifications/scripts maybe, not tested at all though). Also my tooltip/jobs seem to stay, so it might really just be the properties (didnt have a need for them as of yet, ...

Buddy of mine has the same freakin problem with his xbox mic and pc, seems to be a feature

A couple of requests/suggestions for future tutorials: Ppl are scared if they see length 15min+, they proably not watching. If you do, have time codes in the description (or captions in the video) to allow ppl to jump to what they want to look at. (fe "8:00 Naked Lady" ) Fix your microphon...

Good piece of information, strange though, as the example mod by IV isnt doing it either.
So i guess you are actually refering to the loading a savegame, and that properties arent saved proberly, but have to be recreated (thus explointing your storage...)

I think the parser is simply ignoring unkown tags, thats why it didnt crash.
