Re: Mantis clean up - you can help too!

Can someone maybe clarify for me how to make sure I'm not posting a duplicate bug. I play on a mac and the top menu bar, the one that contains info like available money, # of guards, etc. is missing. In this case, it's easy to tell you it's a duplicate because several reports of that are listed in ...

Re: [Suggestion] Remove interior lightbulbs from the game.

I agree - just implicitly lighting all powered indoor areas would be much tidier. The default foundation lighting doesn't work usefully, which isn't really penalised, and tidying it up is fiddly and slow. The lights generally are a 'cosmetic' feature that actually looks worse unless you put a lot of...

The sole purpose of CCTV in the game is to see through the fog-of-war, so it's more a warning "these aren't needed, don't waste your money".

Re: Is this a bug?

If the game is already going as fast as your computer can run it, trying to make it go faster won't work. Having lots of prisoners/staff/objects/whatever increases the time needed to calculate each step, so as your prison gets larger the maximum speed your computer can simulate it at decreases. If I...

Re: [Suggestion] One way doors

But then it comes down to having doors that some units (staff) can use and others (prisoners) cannot, which is explicitly not the paradigm of the game (and probably the reason for 5hifty's obnoxious snark). Access is controlled through zoning. And now I see why the snark exists. :| We have staff-on...

Re: Prison Guard Speed

Dogs. One of their main purposes is being brilliant at catching escapees. Just station a couple at the entrance, and no-one will get away.

(Oh, and if prisoners are trying to escape at all regularly, you probably have a layout/design flaw somewhere. )

Re: [Suggestion] One way doors

I saw the thread. I didn't comment because I saw nothing objectionable about it (other than the idea that staff would be able to go through turnstiles in the wrong direction, which is nonsense). A one-way door does not allow some people while disallowing others---it simply specifies a direction of ...

Re: Is this hardware good enough to run PA?

I expect that'll be perfectly playable with reasonably-sized prisons. I'm right on the minimum specs here (2.4GHz Core2Duo with the **** IGP), and I only started experiencing difficult-to-play lag with about 300 prisoners and most of a Medium map filled. Fast-forward mode stopped being noticeably fa...

Re: buggiest game ever ?

like the holding room saying i dont have walls/doors . You are probably making the common beginner mistake of including the tile with the door in the room assignment. And that's disallowed by the walls/doors checking because prisoners standing on the outside of the door (but still on the door tile)...

Re: buggiest game ever ?

from what i understand this game has been in alpha for a very long time .. perhaps the developers for future reference should have held it back a LOT longer before even making it alpha ? Read that they will spend the next month bug fixing. Let me wish them all good luck as it seems they will have t...

Sounds rather like Bug #4823, but that's supposedly fixed since bugbash-1h. :?

I already suggested this, but weeks ago and in the wrong subforum. :P

As that would suggest, I think it's a great idea. :D

Security-zoned classrooms?

Is there any way to make the game only allocate prisoners to courses that they can actually attend (and ideally make sure that classes are run for each zone as necessary?) At the moment, the game allocates Maxsec prisoners to attend courses in the Medsec wing and vice versa - I haven't found a solut...

Re: Bug tracker change log dates are messed up

My first thought was 'misreading the date format somehow', but the dates really are wrong however you read them :?

The page in question seems to be http://bugs.introversion.co.uk/changelog_page.php
