Hi everyone,
Has anybody figured out how to access the new weather systems using the Lua APIs?
@Devs Do any APIs exist at all? If not, why not?
Sincerely,
ApolloLV

Re: Holocaust architect?
Sorry, but I think this would be simply tasteless. I have nothing to add to that.

Perl Script for generating Sandbox Mod
Hello Guys, I am an author of one of the sandbox mode mods out there. Creating such a mod isn't so difficult: just give everything a BuildTime of 0.1 or 0 and change the MoveSpeedFactor of everything to 1. Oh, and a 10 Billion Dollar grant for having a delivery zone would be great! So why create suc...

Welcome to the forums, mike! I hope that we will be able to help you. The only bug in any way similiar to yours is this one: http://bugs.introversion.co.uk/view.php?id=2137 and these forum posts http://forums.introversion.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=48434 , http://forums.introversion.co.uk/viewto...

Re: [Suggestion] Set Different Regime Based on Security Leve
This feature is in the game since Alpha 21 (I think, but it might have been added during the Bugbash). You will see that if you pick an activity from the right part of the regime tab of the report, you can place it either in the middle or on the sides of the regime block you want to change (The part...

[Suggestion] Clicking on "Intake" opens Prisoner Report
This is a really helpful UI Feature missing. There even is text in the ToDo item telling me that I should open the "Prisoners Report", and while there is no action associated with the intake ToDo, why not make it the "Prisoners" Tab of the noteboard coming up?! This might also re...

Re: [Suggestion] Speed up the save process
Sorry I wasted some of your time, Xander, but English is just not my native language. I am happy I finally was able to make my point clear (I hope). All I care about is whether or not we can make PA a better game (from the technical point of view). I just hope some Dev finds this sometime... I filed...

Re: [Suggestion] Speed up the save process
Never timed it, but it's a good couple of seconds at least. And yeah I have about 4 other HDD, none of which are relevant. They aren't even spun up when I'm gaming. Could you time the difference between SSD and HDD? At least on Linux, you can Symlink the Save Folder location to another Drive, so yo...

Re: [Suggestion] Speed up the save process
So, when we are saving, it just goes through every object currently in the game, and writes its stats to the save file directly. In this approach, the write speed to the disk is the bottleneck, since computation time is negligible on such operations. I'm gunna say its not. I have a highspeed SSD. I...

Re: [Suggestion] Speed up the save process
So when saving, the game probably does 'pause game->write game state to disk->resume game'. So, when we are saving, it just goes through every object currently in the game, and writes its stats to the save file directly. In this approach, the write speed to the disk is the bottleneck, since computa...

Re: [Suggestion] Speed up the save process
As it seems, I was not able to make my point to neither Xander nor Paktsardines. Just to get my understanding of what the game is currently doing to the same point: (snapshot is the current game state in text or binary in the RAM Does it invoke a method that goes like pause game -> make snapshot -> ...

Re: [Suggestion] Speed up the save process
@Xander Yes, It is indeed obvious that no parallel processing takes places. But I assume this is deliberate to prevent data inconsistencies: Just imagine an Object being handed over from one Person to another while the parallel saving takes place. When you load up that save later, the object will be...

[Suggestion] Speed up the save process
So, I don't know if this is a bug or, as I suppose, desired/expected behaviour, but Prison Architect freezes whenever I save the game. Since Autosave is enabled by standard, this occurs rather regularly, and lasts about 1,2 seconds, although this tends to become longer and longer with bigger maps an...
