Re: [query] Holding Cells -> Gen Pop

I noticed that too. One or two prisoners seemed stuck in the holding cell while the others would get assigned when I zone a new cell block.

When/If that happens to me, I build a second door. It likely didn't properly catch the first door.

Re: [Suggestion] Take over a prison campaign

You can already do that with the Steam Workshop. People can post challenge prisons that want you to "prevent the impending riot" or something similar.

Re: Inmates ignoring most of my shower

Are those shower heads zoned as a shower? If you look at the leftmost empty tile of the shower room, you can see it is a different color than the tiling done in the shower, which implies it is not part of the shower room. I would suggest re-zoning the room.

Re: Follow developing

Since those are the main ways to communicate to the masses these days, probably not. There isn't much to keep up on anyway, just a new Alpha every month with it's inherent change log. If you check back during the last few days of each month for the alpha announcement, you're up to date. Not much off...

Re: Different executables?

How do you mean?

Do you mean if I were to open the exe in a text editor the file would be different at different times?

NOTE: I have almost no idea what I'm talking about.

If you can make the shadow completely white, can you turn the alpha up to 255?

Re: Solitary bug

Do your solitary room tiles extend out onto the door tile. If they are, try removing the tile under the door.

Slight note, they do not prevent tunneling, the just make it very hard. Given the time, prisoners will get through.

Re: Fix some of the little things in A16

To differentiate, you were probably developing applications for a professional environment, where things have to work when people get them to do their job. They are hiring you to provide a product they use in a professional workspace. Here, however, the developers are offering an alpha version of a ...

Re: the Prison Population does almost nothing

There are two scales in this game, the day-by-day scale, and the prisoner-sentence scale. A human can go for 30-45 days without food, so locking someone up for the duration of their stay would not be beyond the laws of humanity. However, since the game is bending the rules of space-time to fit 30 ye...

Re: Suggestion: More consequences for power failure

The jail doors in the game today are "analog"-style. They likely run on rails and can be hand moved. We obviously don't see this due to their lack of visible hands. I think if more secure doors were to be added, like electromagnetic doors, or doors that have to be opened from an adjacent g...

Do these exist in real life? It sounds like Robert Downey Jr.'s summer home.

Re: Random Building

I think a screenshot would be appropriate here.

Are you sure the doors aren't just open? If you don't have any prisoners in your prison, doors are automatically set to be open, which means they slide into an adjacent tile.

Re: Room names end up in funky places

Having not played that game, could you provide some additional information. Are the names on that map procedurally generated, or were they placed there by the designers?
