Re: The new "play as a prisoner" feature.

I thought it was funny and its interesting to journey through your prison. I enjoy a similar Adventure mode in Dwarf Fortress where you can adventure through the ruins of your once great fortress. I think it could be added as a secondary mode selection. I understand that many people think it shouldn...

Re: [Bug] Exports "loop"

I had been on my honeymoon for a while and was dropping by to make sure someone had mentioned this. I keep all my truck loading/unloading zones near each other and had added the export above the delivery and encountered the loop as well. the quick workaround was to move the zone, but its obvious tha...

Re: Suggestion: Circuit breaker

What is there to object to? I think I've already said your idea makes sense, but in the same way walking across electrified water doesn't make sense to you, shutting off an entire prison because of a broken washer doesn't make sense to me at all. Thats pretty much my whole issue with that approach....

Re: Gun rooms

Actually in the U.S. prison guards are not allowed to have guns unless they are in watch towers or outside on perimeter patrol. This is because we have learned time and again the hard way that one will eventually find their way in the hands of an inmate. Even police officers need to surrender their...

Re: Suggestion: Circuit breaker

couldn't we make workers immune to electricity to show that they have the knowledge of neutralizing it before commencing repair work? I presume that would be theoretically possible, but it would be a step backwards. The idea is to _add_ logic to the game, not _remove_ it. I understand why you would...

Re: what happened with tunnel digging?

I'm enjoying the balance at the moment, in that I have perimeter dog patrols, and a protocol set that searches cells when illegal items are found at metal detectors. It pretty much guarantees I'll find tunnels before they reach a significant distance. If I found more than one or two tunnels in a wee...

Re: Suggestion: Circuit breaker

EDIT: air805ronin: I don't think that I am advocating for a new piece of equipment, but rather a change the the functionality of current equipment. And even if the workers are smart enough to avoid dangerous situations, there still isn't really a mechanic in the game for allowing them to do so (the...

Re: [Suggestion] Solve an unsolved murder

To have an intensive to do this, it should reduce the effects of the violation, maybe in stead of 30k a death it only 15 or 10k. But still, just having to many deaths should be penalized. Also if you have a really long run prison, you going to have more violation then a prison that is still being b...

Re: Suggestion: Circuit breaker

If I may be so bold, as opposed to adding a completely new piece of utility equipment to the mix, couldn't we make workers immune to electricity to show that they have the knowledge of neutralizing it before commencing repair work? Just have this ability be implied for the professional we hire to do...

Re: How to post a suggestion or question

Point of order question... Several other forums I visit for alpha games discourage bumping ancient threads due to the fact active development can make old posts (older than 6 or so months) lose thier applicability. My case: I want to make a suggestion thread regarding staff shifts, payment, care and...

Re: Suggestion: Circuit breaker

[current method] Prison door on the laundry room set to be locked shut till power is off, switch outside the laundry on power line to shut off power so its safe to fix the equipment. Safe working conditions for all? Requires lots of micromanagement. What is being proposed - Essentially what I would ...

Re: What should we focus on next?

For what its worth, I think the game could benefit from a little more attention to the staff of the prison. Right now they just go about their business 24/7 never needing a wee, never needing food, and never needing rest. Unless they are robots, this is highly unorthodox. I think in the policy page ...

Re: [Suggestion] Solve an unsolved murder

100% behind this feature. I have a prison I started yesterday with 2 unsolved murders. I'm 90% sure that the showers overflowed and combined with nearby metal detectors to kill first a workman and then a prisoner (the cheap version of electric chair anyone?). 90% because i know I didn't have any rio...
