Re: Will IntroVersion deliver Prison Architect?

I have never claimed that it wasn't a paid job. You pretty much gave that impression saying (insisting really) that IV never paid their testers. Yep, they are voluntary. Why are you revolving around it so much? Your argument that people are paid to test games is akin to claiming that people a...

Re: Will IntroVersion deliver Prison Architect?

Yep, the fact that they don't pay their Testers don't change the fact that a Tester is a paid job. A paid office job. Regular and normal job. =)

IV have their fans that are willing to test. The fanbase have fun, IV don't have to pay for that. Everybody wins. Got it? =)

Re: Will IntroVersion deliver Prison Architect?

I am paying to do so, but that was my decision Yep, your decision to be a tester nonetheless. I wasn't saying it only about IV. I was pretty broad, wasn't I? But in any case, if IV is smart enough and have a broad fan base as enthusiastic about it's work as it have, it's only logical to get some of...

Re: Will IntroVersion deliver Prison Architect?

I expend the last couple days reading extensively about the matter (EarlyAccess mostly). Well, yesterday news, Planetary Annihilation, another KickStarter project, just 'finished' and the ratings are sub-optimal to say the least. Abismal in some cases. The project was developed by Uber, a company co...

Re: Will IntroVersion deliver Prison Architect?

I am comfortable with IV being secretive because they have a 13+ year history of being in business and producing good games. They are not perfect, but they are pretty upfront with their problems when they occur. I don't need to know every last detail of what they have planned, and an happy to wait ...

Really? Did they say it? Why the secrecy? It's not like PA is a internal development project. It's openly backed by us. Why are you so confortable with the fact that they hold this kind of info back?

Re: WILL INTROVERSION DELIVER PRISON ARCHITECT?

Remember this thread? Let's not go there anymore Oh, I remember this tread. Maybe I even posted something there, can't remember. knoest26, I'm sorry to crash on this topic again, man. But to me is standard procedure to have this kind of "list of features". I am a software developer myself...

Re: Will IntroVersion deliver Prison Architect?

Corrected the title in Caps. =) Well, that is not a complete roadmap, is it? That is a small list containing bugs to be corrected in a specific version. A complete roadmap shows short and long term goals. It's pretty crazy to enter a project without know where it's going. Even worst to consider it n...

Re: WILL INTROVERSION DELIVER PRISON ARCHITECT?

It will be a good policy for them to make a roadmap. What are the intended features? No one knows. It's a pretty standard request to know what will be developed. If they decide to add some features out of roadmap, hey, bonus! I don't think it's too much to ask for, is it?

Will IntroVersion deliver Prison Architect?

I'm worried. In the past weeks the game dev world had some distubing news about companies that kickstart games and then publish it incomplete or worse, abandon it. It's all cool to back a game project, we know that we don't bought a complete game at first, but we invest in a project. Prison Architec...

Re: [SUGGESTION] Multi Level Prison

...

I think I should start counting how many of "multiple floors" suggestions there are at the forum...

No matter how impractical people say this idea is, there always this someone that insist on this.

In shot: bad idea, IV said that this will not be implemented. Deal with it.

Re: [suggestion] Death row/Parole/Sentencing Design

There is a planed room like a Court, then most of what you sugested as "off-screen" will happen inside the prison itself. In the bottom of each prisoner file there is a gauge with colors red and blue. Blue means the time the prisoner can get parole. It doesn't work yet, but it's planed. De...

Re: [Suggestion] Staff training / enhancement

Staff should be a little more interesting. I don't think training is the best path. I thought about the following features:

- Staff should be delivered by truck (bus?) when hired
- Staff could have flaws (smugler, sadic, lazy, etc)

What do you think?

If my workers get the job besides them instead of walking the entire map to dump something else that would be great. = |

Re: Mantis spring cleaning - you can help too!

They said that we are going to get more often updates than before during this month. I personaly doesn't mind if they make the usual "last days of the month" update.

What's important is to clear those bugs. =)
