Does having a morgue and lights serve a purpose now?
I haven't tried th new patch, but last I checked there was almost no good reason to waste power on lights, and the morgue was a seemingly useless room. Have they made these things more useful?

Yeah they said in the released video gangs were supposed to "fuck up our prison" this is the most gentle coitus I've ever experienced.

Did they change zone designations?
I thought the way it worked is if you designated a zone "medium security only" it was med security and everything below, but now it seems to literally mean medium security as when I designated my cells med security only all of my low security inmates went into the holding cell.

it seems like if your staff are in the dark they should refuse to work, and there should be like a 40% chance to miss prisoners with tasers and gunshots and prisoners get a combat bonus if they fight in the dark or something like that.

yes because obviously there is no middle ground between dwarf fortress's never ending violence, and having a more challenging end game.

the game has a whole lot of really cool and fun systems to tinker with, but the game's difficulty definitely reaches a plateau and stays there. we need more gang violence, gang fights and gang assassinations.
