What's Changed and What Hasn't
I decided to go back and view my original post , wondering what I said. I'm glad that many of my ideas were eventually implemented. Dormitories became a thing. Intake/Processing arrived in the form of Reception. Gangs and Classification happened. "Power of Persuasion" sort've happened in t...

Shifts, Briefing, Breaks, Supervisors, Guard Contraband
I just posted this within the bug tracker in reply to Bossie's recommendation for staff shifts to be added to the game, but it's occurred to me that the bug tracker might not be the place for suggestions, so I've decided to copy/paste what I wrote to here: If the developers are willing to implement ...

Re: Bringing Meals to Inmates, Disciplinary Holding, Etc
I've tried redirecting one of my kitchens to service a dorm directly, and then instructed that dorm not to eat at any canteen, but that didn't work. The food distribution keeps autoselecting its previous canteen, and the kitchen acts like it's just not gonna feed anyone. If you're trying to say that...

Re: Bringing Meals to Inmates, Disciplinary Holding, Etc
I've played around with food logistics a bit, and I can't seem to find a way to have one of my kitchens distribute food to my PC unit directly while also still working its canteen. I can assign a kitchen to distribute food to PC, but it'll then stop working its canteen: http://s19.postimg.org/40po0t...

Re: Bringing Meals to Inmates, Disciplinary Holding, Etc
Are you saying that if they don't have access to a canteen, then food will be automatically delivered to them in their cells, even if they're not on permanent lockdown?

Re: Room Requirements: Minimum Size
There's a difference between complaining and endeavoring to bring an issue to the attention of others. The matter is inconsequential, and despite that I have built game mods before, this isn't an example of a situation where I could be bothered. However, if this were my game, and someone pointed suc...

Re: prisoner into guard program. IDEA
Among correctional security staff, there's a phrase: "never trust a trustee." In the old days, programs very directly similar to what you describe did sometimes exist, and the consequences of that program absolutely outweighed the benefit. Roles and allegiances became confused, and it lead...

Re: (Suggestion) Cell Block Wings
I've thought something similar. It'd be nice to be able to assign schedules to specific blocks in the same way we can presently assign schedules to each classification level. That way you could have A-Dorm or A-Block go walk the yard for an hour, then have B-Dorm or B-Block walk it the next. If you'...

The Outrageous Guard
So I'm reading through a thick stack of disciplinary reports when I receive a call from the CEO. He tells me that his office has received several complaints about an armed guard posted to my reception entrance. He said a worker approached the gate, and the guard posted there advised him that there w...

Room Shaders
There's an option which removes the checker boxes from rooms, but why not allow the player to also remove the room shaders? I'd personally like to see my fine, white, marble flooring in the canteen, not white marble distorted to look teal. I bought white marble damn it, not teal marble. I'd complain...

Room Requirements: Minimum Size
In my current prison, I have two rooms with a red, flashing triangular icon. A yard, and a kennel. I can't understand why there's size requirements for these things. If I want to build a 1x1 canteen, why should the game cry about it? If the player wants that canteen to work properly, then they'll ma...

Bringing Meals to Inmates, Disciplinary Holding, Etc
I've read that prisoners will be fed while in solitary once they maximize their starvation stat, but I've never observed this. In the initial days of my previous prison, my first incident was discovering a single tunnel being dug by 35 prisoners. I had the punishment for escape attempts set to 120 h...

Prison Rape is (as far as I know) mostly a movie thing. I could see where the idea would come from but yea. But they did say they were going to take ideas from movies too , it's not going to be 100% realistic It happens more often than you might think. I'd guess it's less frequent in lower-level fa...

I don't think the rules that are universal laws, such as rape or murder should be able to be turned off. Possibly just a slider to affect how seriously each guard reacts to these crimes. Like if the slider is set low then the guards may ignore a fight or even encourage it from time to time but if i...
