Re: A Interactive Ranking Table
Please share if you have ideas on other kinds of automatic tables. The current parser and the database have their limits on what is possible and I don't have much time to do voluntary work but don't let it limit your imagination :) With dedcon there is a rating.py script, for - well - rating :) Als...

Re: A Interactive Ranking Table
I don't think "most wins" is a good metric. It will promote people who play the most, not the best ones. Better option would be to implement a system used in chess , or something similar. Anyhow, if you would provide a table with all games results (player names and scores), I could play wi...

Re: Shot Destroy Probability
There is no hit-zone as such, every unit and structure in game is a single point. It is counted as "been hit" when gunfire gets close enough. Same for nukes. There is no difference, from where the shot is coming from. But, when it hits plane on the tip, it means that plane is going towards...
Re: Wat?
Ok, so this is how it works: Internally, game counts every single death, so in theory you can win by a single kill. When displaying kills/deaths/etc. in millions, numbers divided by 1m and rounded, so if you killed 99 950 000 people (99,95m) it will be rounded to 100.0m kills. But when calculating s...

Re: Shot Destroy Probability
3 subs vs 3 subs, each sub firing at single enemy sub, destroying them in 1st shot: 0.1%
3 subs vs 3 subs, 3 subs firing at 1st enemy sub and destroying it, then at 2nd and destroying it, and then at 3rd and destroying it: 2%.

Re: Shot Destroy Probability
Average shoot counts are right. For each scenario I've run 1000 experiment and counted shoots needed to kill target. In table I gave average for all 1000 experiments and for top 100 with most shoots needed (the "won't just die" part). So I'm pretty sure those are right.
