Somehow I think the developers are going to have a hard time figuring out proper sentences for 1000 "tim was arrested by teh cops for bein so crazy n awsum XD XD" If it were me I'd give them the death penalty. Any prisoner with anything like that as their bio doesn't deserve to live. Oh, ...

My point was that the length of their sentences is not a bug. I'm sure devs are unhappy to hear reports of a bug in the game when it is not a bug, but a feature (whether it is a good or bad feature).

You need to change the title of this thread. Prisoner sentence length is NOT a bug. Prisoner sentences are created by name-in-game players dictating how long their "avatar" or alter-ego should be incarcerated for his heinous crime(s), and some that were obviously created by the devs to &qu...

Sadly, I haven't spent much PA time on Alpha 12 (been working double shifts - but at least I can participate in this forum whilst at work), so I haven't yet witnessed any of these events.

sigh!

Madman, Yes, I was aware of that. I am unsure of whether prisoners are released at various times during the day, or only at, say, 8AM (or 9AM - different time from the intake would be better). But whenever I see a prisoner strolling down the road, I worry. Certainly, after Chris develops the change ...

They might have a metal hip replacement or a prosthetic limb. Prosthetic limbs are great for smuggling. If the detector goes off, the "beeper" lifts his pants leg, and the guard gets embarrassed and lets him through.

This is a great idea. It would also relieve the stress of seeing a prisoner stroll down the road, knowing that they had been released instead of an escape. The main gate would allow released prisoners to pass, but not currently serving prisoners. You could include a "trustee" pass, so that...

I should point out that, in real life, it woudn't be a good idea to put a metal detector in a canteen either - by the time everyone was scanned there wouldn't be time to eat.. I think this idea makes detector placement much more strategic and more realistic. I was site security manager of a warehou...

MORE than 4 power grids is possible apparently. My current prison runs four easily. Just don't cross the streams as mentioned previously. If you do have more than one power station, try to have one dedicated (almost solely) to your workshop. http://i610.photobucket.com/albums/tt190/stevedrew/Silverw...

Well, to tell you the truth, I really enjoy the challenge of putting in working utilities and running pipes and wires everywhere. I have two Cell Wings in my current prison, one for Max Security, one for Minimum Security (though segregation of the prisoners isn't quite working yet), and I am able to...

Thanks. Got it now. But I DID have trouble uploading my prison. I tried it twice. Yes I DID purchase PA through Steam and did not pirate it. Yes I do have a valid and current Steam Account. Perhaps as it is near the end of the month, my internet usage may be "choked", but I don't think so....

Ok. So I subscribed. I have yet to play it so I don't know what this "no utilities needed" bit is all about.

So...just how do we go about downloading the file for this, and in what folder do we place the save file? I really need to explore the possibilities of the Steam workshop, as I have a prison I want to share.

Re: [Suggestion] Metaldetector only detecting metal items

The title pretty much says it all, but i'd like to explain As in real life a METALdetector only detects metal... so for example when a prisoner with a contraband item, ex: "cigs" walk through the detector, it should not peak to notice guards that the prisoner had contraband on them, seems...
