Re: [Suggestion] Allow single electricity grid

Hmmmmm, possibly there could be another feature with this.

If a tunnel intersects a substation or service cable, ZZZZZZZAP!

Re: Death Row guy released without parole hearing

It was freetime so he should be able to sort out his needs … Death row inmates do not have a normal regime, free time is irrelevant to them, as is any other regime setting. Nothing you setup in terms of regime has any influence on them. They have 24x7 locked up, and tend to sleep when it's dark, ot...

Re: [Suggestion] Prisoner finish food regardless of regime t

I don't think anything really needs to change here, other than travel speed. It's simply daft that it can take the better part of an hour for them to walk 100–200m in a larger prison (not suppressed), to get to the canteen. Even with the broken travel speed, however, I don't see a problem needing fi...

Re: [Bug] Doctors are now Witch Doctors in Alpha 31

Doctors seem to be working just fine for me in alpha 31. I've got 2 infirmaries with 10 beds each, 8 doctors, for around 400 inmates. Injuries to both prisoners and staff are getting attention from them automatically, dead bodies are getting dragged out to the road correctly. Basically it's working ...

Re: [suggestion] item dimensions

Have you tried clicking the '+' button at the bottom left of the objects panel? It expands the panel to show all objects in the game, regardless of the room types currently visible. If I'm correctly interpreting what you mean by "not available for clicking", that solves your problem. That ...

Re: Deathrow overfed

I've not yet been running with death row inmates for long enough to be certain, but I don't think there's any overfeeding issue, to be honest. What I'm seeing is them getting a single fresh tray to eat when it's needed, and not otherwise. It looks like the additional trays are being delivered dirty ...

Death Row Laundry?

Has anyone got laundry working for death row prisoners? I've tried a few approaches, but nothing seems to work. 1) Creating a "Death Row Only" laundry room in the cell block. Since they janitors' union is currently boycotting ironing, and death row prisoners don't work, the room gets stuck...

Re: [Stock Exploit] De-zoning/Re-zoning Cells

They've fixed this in the bug bash. https://twitter.com/IVSoftware/status/588275075180326912 Don't worry though, if funds are tight, it's still easy to get a loan from a local businessman. Just edit the .prison file and search for "Finance" and "Balance". Of course, one day he m...

Re: Canteen no demand

That is weird, I didn't ever set that zone as staff only. Thanks for the help. The behaviour when merging two zones is a bit random. I.e. when you demolish a wall or extend a zone. Typically this seems to result in the least desirable outcome, such as setting the staff only anti-contraband perimete...

Re: disable deployments during riots

I'm far from convinced that it's a good idea to disable deployments during a riot. That sounds like a recipe for leaving large areas unguarded. It sounds like you may need a few more unassigned guards, or make use of the riot police. That said, you can already do this, as long as you have a spare ti...

Re: [Stock Exploit] De-zoning/Re-zoning Cells

I think some detailed explanation is in order from the OP here. There isn't any normal automatic cash award for zoning cells, just one-time grants. When I'm developing a prison, it's not at all unusual for me to de-zone and re-zone cells, and I don't think I have ever seen any extra income generated...

Re: Riots after shower time

Putting a shower in each cell seems to work, but I refuse to do that since it's completely unrealistic. I've never heard of a real prison like that. Having a cell shower should have major negative side-effects such as damaging beds, cell doors, etc. The US seem to do it for their AdMax facilities, ...

Re: Riots after shower time

I'm not convinced that the sleep need is satisfied too quickly, at least in alpha 31. Sleep seems to be more or less ok, mostly satisfied in about 4-5 hours, 6-7 needed for everyone green. That seems reasonable enough to me. What's not reasonable is the other needs going from mostly green with just ...

Re: Kitchen size

240 sq.m seems just fine to me for it. That's a good size for about 8-10 cookers, 8-10 fridges, 4-10 sinks (I could be wrong, but I feel you only need half as many sinks), plus proper walking space around the kitchen. I really don't see 12 sq.m per prisoner to be excessive, and it helps avoid horrib...

Re: The look of love (ft Paving stones)

Just use "Concrete Tile" for the same as the pavements beside the road. "Paving Stone" is fine as well, it is good for creating non-sharp paths through forestry and the like (sharply edged paths would look out of place there), but pretty much needs to be a minimum of 2m wide. I d...
