Re: [SUGGESTION - LONG] Prison Politics
I would also like rioters to stop expanding their riot at some point, and rather defend the areas they hold. If the prisoners were able to take hostages (as suggested here ), a standoff would be more likely and the way you handle the situation would matter more (I expect high fines for killed hostag...

Re: [SUGGESTION - LONG] Prison Politics
I love these ideas - well thought out. Though, as has been mentioned, it will probably be a hell of a job to (fully) implement. There absolutely should be additional feedback from prisoners other than violence, destruction and (meaningless) riots. As of now the only reaction your prisoners have when...

Re: [Suggestion] Search party for escapees
Perhaps the penalty for an escaped convict could also be according to the escapee's security-level (it's worse letting a max-sec-murderer escape than a low-sec-counterfeiter) and perhaps also reoffending chance. If your escaped prisoner runs right out killing a bunch of people, the government will f...

Re: [Suggestion] Search party for escapees
I think that you should get a days without incident reset regardless, the incentive to not have the penalty for an escaped prisoner should be enough to motivate a player to move. Also, perhaps we could pay the government to help us out, using law enforcement to increase the chances of finding the p...

Re: [Suggestion] Designated Pathways
A custom pathway-system would be nice. Finally I could get my visitors to choose the "two staffdoors-route", instead of the "two-solitary-doors and three cell-doors-route" to get visitation. Also, such a system would be great for making evacuation plans (for when you'd rather hav...

Re: Rioting Issues
I agree that lockdown is currently rather useless, except for a last resort to contain the riot until the riot guards arrive. The ability to just lockdown certain cellblocks or sectors would make lockdown a more viable and less desperate option. Bangup, however, is not as useless. My strategy to avo...

Re: Different Types of Guards. [Suggestion]
I can't see how adding of more guard-types would be an addition to the gameplay, other than increasing micromanagement. However, you could have your ordinary guards pick up different equipment for different tasks (e.g armed guards manning a sniper tower will pick up a rifle in the armoury on his wa...

Re: [Suggestion] Fire Safety
Good ideas! A few ideas to further expand on fire: - Smoke should have the possibility of affecting the health bar of prisoners and staff in the same way combat does, knocking them unconcious, and ultimately killing them (somewhat like bleeding). - Prisoners and staff knocked unconcious by the smoke...

Re: (Suggestion) Visitation (booth) restrictions
I agree that this sort of point-system would be very useful! It should also be possible to decide what consequences reaching the different point-levels would cause in a way similar to the current prison policy.

Re: (Suggestion) Freehand planning.
A free-hand drawing tool would be great! For those of us that recieve regular criticism for our hand-writing, it might be possible to implement planning tools such as text boxes and arrows (strongly inspired by the battle planning tool of hearts of iron 3: http://static2.gamesrocket.com/ga/images/pr...

Re: [Suggestion] Prison shop
Alcohol is probably pretty universally concidered contraband, but for cigarettes that's certainly not the case. My sister works in a Norwegian prison and there cigarettes are the most sought-after item in the prison shop. The prison staff even has a backup storage of what they call "emergency c...

Re: [Suggestion] Riot / fight notification icon
It would be nice to get the same mapping as for contraband for other incidents such as fights, deaths and escapes. That way you could identify problem areas and improve security where it's needed the most.

Re: [Suggestion] Prisoner Crowd and Dispersion Behavior
A lot of good ideas in this thread! Crowd mentality and additional individual traits would go a long way to make the prisoners less generic. I think the prisoner-focus of the game is one of it's great strenghts (I for instance love the fact that a few of the prisoners are innocent of what they are c...

Re: [Suggestion] Detailed prisoner statistics
Good idea!
Perhaps one could sort the prisoners by different categories (number of escape attempts, number of fights, number of murders etc), much like the prisoners currently are sorted by security level.
