I'd say that a bigger problem with sleep si how quickly the need is depleted, 4 hours of sleep is enough to keep all your prisoners rested.

With 400 or so maxsec prisoners I've managed 11 or 12 hours of work a day without any trouble.

I'd like to be able to assign a prisoner to a specific cell. It would be useful if (when) we get finer control over regimes and separation. I don't think multiple floors would be a good idea with the current graphical representation and that isn't going to change. It'd be lovely if it wasn't suggest...

If they just have names and nothing more that doesn't really add to the game and wouldn't really make me care about them. If they are to have different stats and a hiring menu you would have to add a whole bunch of extra micromanaging to deployment. If guards have different stats but you don't have ...

YOu could still build the armory in the middle of nowhere. Just build a staffroom next to it.

It's not the contraband system per se, it seems to work fine, it's that many items don't have a use right now. I expect that to be adressed over a number of future alphas, until then I don't see any reason to add more kinds of contraband.

Which can be accomplished by having staff arrive by truck instead of just popping up. No you're not missing it.
I don't think it will be implemented though. While sometimes guards could be a bit more diligent about taking prisoners to the infirmary I usually don't see a lot of injured prisoners lying around.
