Release date confirmed as March 4th 2005
After discussions with our UK Distributor (Pinnacle) we have agreed to set the release date to Friday 4th March 2005. There will be a simultanious launch of the Windows and Mac versions on that day. The price will be £29.99.
The Windows version will be available to buy from this website, starting 4th March. You will also be able to buy the Windows version from the highstreet if you live in the UK - we will print a list of shops that will be selling Darwinia soon.
We will be accepting pre-orders on this website for the Windows version, starting mid January - about six weeks before the big day.
The Mac version is being published by Ambrosia Software and will be available to buy exclusively from their website.
The playable demo of Darwinia will be made publicly available around the end of January. It will also be available on PC Gamer magazine (UK) in their March issue, on sale February 17th. Hopefully they'll have a review as well. Other magazines will follow on from there.

Sounds great. Still got plenty of time to iron out those little niggles, but not too long to keep us waiting!
Great job on the game, IV, we all appreciate your dedication
Edit: Might I refer to a certain comic made by a certain community member here?

Congratulations on getting it set in stone. Nice to see Ambrosia are supporting you once again on the Mac side of things, and that Future Publishing are following their usual pattern of behaviour, and worshipping the desk you code on. Even though in the beta you can be damn sure I will be getting that PCGamer, just to continue my collection of all things Darwinia related.
