World map in GOG version

OK, so. Playing the GoG version of Uplink - version 1.6 it says in changes.txt.

Some of the squares on my world map are orange. What does orange color mean?

From what I remember (it's been a looooooong time since I played), servers' icons on the map can look different and there is no special meaning to this. I remember some place you could customize each server's icon and never understanding what the purpose of that is.

Take these words with a grain of salt. As I said it's been a long time since I played, and even when I did I barely played at all.

If you go to your contacts list and look all the way to the right, you'll see an icon that you can toggle. It toggles between on, off, and one with a + sign. The servers with the plus sign appear orange- unless you have a mission with them as a target, in which case the green icon supersedes.

I use the toggle mostly to find public access servers of Mainframes or LANs.

Also, I'm using old school Uplink on a Mac. FWIW.
