Plumay:
I've updated the bugs above, and YOU HAVE CLOSED 8 BUGS!
GOOD JOB!

Be careful though, the issue number 810 is not similar to the others.
It's from a much older version than the others, and it describes a very different problem :)

--- All issues to this point are fixed. --- EXCEPT for the fatal error group specifically mentioned in my bot assignment post.

New assignment list:

It is a standard procedure in software quality assurance to check if the fixed issue has been really fixed. There are a few things to look for:
  • The fix may be partial (in some scenarios it can still not be fixed) <-- this happens more often than you'd think
  • The fix may be working on the developer environment but the bug may still be affecting users <-- this sometimes happens
  • The fix might have broken something that was working earlier <-- this happens a lot
  • Related issues to the fixed bug may have been resolved but not marked as resolved yet
As usual, test and report in the thread.

R3 (done by RGeezy911):
Make sure that http://bugs.introversion.co.uk/view.php?id=3439 does really no longer occur by loading the prison attached to this ticket.

R4 (done by RGeezy911):
Reproduction attempt of bugs reportedly fixed in BugBash-1 by 2014-06-05 CEST on Steam [bugbash] branch, 1:
- 0003237: [AI & Behaviour] Existing Prisoners will not be reassigned "shared" security cells. (Chris) - resolved.
- 0002866: [Gameplay] Expanding land drops ALL patrols (lim_ak) - resolved.
- 0000046: [Control & User Interface] Can click on some menus "behind" Bureaucracy screen (lim_ak) - resolved.

R5 (done by RGeezy911):
Reproduction attempt of bugs reportedly fixed in BugBash-1 by 2014-06-05 CEST on Steam [bugbash] branch, 2:

- 0000045: [Graphics] Shower drains not aligning to grid properly (Icepick) - resolved.

R6 (done by RGeezy911):
Reproduction attempt of bugs reportedly fixed in BugBash-1 by 2014-06-05 CEST on Steam [bugbash] branch, 3:

R7 (done by RGeezy911):
Reproduction attempt of bugs reportedly fixed in BugBash-1 by 2014-06-05 CEST on Steam [bugbash] branch, 4:
- 0001383: [Graphics] Workshop saw and press deployed incorrectly if rotated. (Icepick) - resolved.
- 0004368: [Other] Startup crash in __GLeeGetExtensions (John) - resolved.
- 0000037: [Control & User Interface] "Read the CEO's letter" in the Todo list comes back (Icepick) - resolved.

M1:
This sort of looks like it is a family of bugs or two, with no good senior bug which would describe all the different aspects of the problems in a consistent manner:
http://bugs.introversion.co.uk/view.php?id=3608
http://bugs.introversion.co.uk/view.php?id=2245
http://bugs.introversion.co.uk/view.php?id=2181
http://bugs.introversion.co.uk/view.php?id=1156
http://bugs.introversion.co.uk/view.php?id=1169
http://bugs.introversion.co.uk/view.php?id=2121

If someone can wrap his head around this and create a mother bug, it would be great. This might not be possible.

M2 (done by Mazetar):
We need a Mother Bug for "crash on save" situations

M3:
We need a Mother Bug for "crash on load" situations

M4:
We need a Mother Bug to consolidate issues with lack of unicode support in translations, non-translate-able texts and stuff like that. 0003809 is only a part of the problem.

M5 (done by Reef, 0004545):
Problems with foundation/foundations need a Mother Bug. If someone could find all the foundation bugs and make a mother bug of them it would be great. Those two are a start:
http://bugs.introversion.co.uk/view.php?id=2420
http://bugs.introversion.co.uk/view.php?id=3827

M6:
problems with doctors, medical bed, injured staff and prisoners need a mother bug
http://bugs.introversion.co.uk/view.php?id=81 <-- target version set to BugBash-1
http://bugs.introversion.co.uk/view.php?id=3391

http://bugs.introversion.co.uk/view.php?id=884
http://bugs.introversion.co.uk/view.php?id=102

M7 (done by Reef):
We need a grandmotherbug for dead NPCs, hearse, morgue slabs and stuff like that. Here's a start:
http://bugs.introversion.co.uk/view.php?id=725
http://bugs.introversion.co.uk/view.php?id=2061

O2:
View bugs with status in {new, acknowledged, confirmed, assigned}, severity NOT "feature", resolution {open, reopened}, show: 500, search: dog. Report duplicates/resolved, find motherbugs etc

O3:
View bugs with status in {new, acknowledged, confirmed, assigned}, severity NOT "feature", resolution {open, reopened}, show: 500, search: stuck. Report duplicates/resolved, find motherbugs etc

O4 (being done by _alphaBeta_):
View bugs with status in {new, acknowledged, confirmed, assigned}, severity NOT "feature", resolution {open, reopened}, show: 500, search: laundry. Report duplicates/resolved, find motherbugs etc

O5:
View bugs with status in {new, acknowledged, confirmed, assigned}, severity NOT "feature", resolution {open, reopened}, show: 500, search: riot police. Report duplicates/resolved, find motherbugs etc

O7 (xander is working on them):
View bugs with status in {new, acknowledged, confirmed, assigned}, severity NOT "feature", resolution {open, reopened}, show: 500, search: food. Report duplicates/resolved, find motherbugs etc

O8:
Incomplete fix needs a new ticket: http://bugs.introversion.co.uk/view.php?id=81#c9908

Currently working on all R assignments. I've gotten myself some free time. I'll make a new post with my findings. If someone is already working on an R assignment, please post here or PM me!

R Assignments__

R3__

#3439 - Cooks dumping ingredients in walkways and other rooms
Resolved - The problem with the attached prison file is that a bag of refuse is stuck between intersecting walls right next to the kitchen. The Chefs are constantly trying to route to scattered food on the ground, but end up failing because the refuse bag cannot be reached.

Once the wall next to the stuck refuse bag is demolished, the AI immediately started to trash the scattered food. Once all food is cleared from the floor, the AI resume their correct activities normally.

This report is likely "User Error" due to bad prison design choices. Nonetheless, the Chefs never threw food back onto the floor.

R4__

#3237 - Existing Prisoners will not be reassigned "shared" security cells.
Unresolved - My prisoners were not moved from a Holding Cell zoned as (Shared) to a normal Cell zoned as (Shared). Changing the security zone of the Holding Cell to (Minimum) or (Maximum) allowed the prisoners to go to their cell. However, the prisoners walked to their cells on their own without being shackled or escorted by a guard.

Break down:
  • Holding Cell = Shared
  • Prisoners Arrive
  • Create new Cells = Shared
  • Prisoners remain in Holding Cell
---
  • Holding Cell = Minimum, Medium, Maximum, or Staff
  • ALL Prisoners move out, and into Shared Cells.
---
  • Holding Cell = Shared, Unlocked
  • No change, prisoners stay.
---
  • Holding Cell = Shared
  • Normal Cells = Minimum, Medium, Maximum
  • Only the correct security inmates will move in.
---
  • Normal Cells = Staff
  • Holding Cell = Shared
  • Prisoners re-enter the Holding Cell
---
  • Prisoners in Holding Cell
  • Normal Cells = Staff => Shared
  • Holding Cell = Shared
  • No change, prisoners stay.

As of my testing, this bug is still present on my end.

#2866 - Expanding land drops ALL patrols
Unresolved - Expanding land towards the North, East, South, or West replicates the bug easily. None of the guard, armed guard, or guard dog's patrols are saved when resizing the prison. It has to do with saving, because the player is immediately loaded into the "temp-resized" prison file, which does not contain the patrol routes.

#46 - Can click on some menus "behind" Bureaucracy screen
Resolved - I cannot click on the CEO's letter any more through the bureaucracy screen. Additionally, I cannot click on any menu or the reports button. Seems fixed on my end.

R5__

#39 - Camera controls active when focus is in menus
Partially Resolved - While using the load and save screens, the camera is stationary and does not move.

While using the reports (staff, prisoners, jobs, policy, grants, and programs) the camera does not zoom in and out when hovering the mouse over a scrollable list.

While using the grading screen or the bureaucracy screen, the camera is stationary and does not move.

Scrolling does work on the jobs, policy, grants, and programs reports.

X Scrolling does not correctly work on the staff and prisoner reports. Hovering the mouse over the scroll bar and using the mouse wheel will scroll, but very slowly. (I am unsure if this is related to the report, or a different bug entirely)

#81 - Injured Guards don't seek medical treatment on their own
Resolved - When a guard gets injured to the point where they need medical attention (as seen in the todo list), the guard will immediately head for the infirmary. If no doctors are available, they will simply wander in the infirmary until a doctor heals them.

O However, while wandering in the infirmary, the injured guards can be seen taking out their jail keys very often. Possibly another bug report.

#45 - Shower drains not aligning to grid properly
Resolved - The shower drains align correctly both indoors and outdoors.

R6__

#1984 - Laundry Baskets can not be dismantled or removed once placed.
Partially Resolved - Laundry Baskets can now be dismantled, placed into Storage, and reused again.

X However, they can not be dumped, which still makes them permanent objects within your prison (unless they get destroyed).

#1469 - Solitary door won't close
Resolved - Solitary doors will now close when a prisoner is occupying a Solitary Cell.

CRASH NOTICE: As of Bugbash-1, dezoneing a Solitary Cell while there are prisoners in your prison will cause the game to crash without error message. Always reproducible.

#278 - Regime is changed on load
Resolved - The regime correctly saves and loads data for the three security plans (Minimum, Normal, Maximum).

R7__

#1383 - Workshop saw and press deployed incorrectly if rotated.
Resolved - The Workshop Saw and Workshop Press are no longer installed off-center.

#4368 - Startup crash in __GLeeGetExtensions
Cannot Test - I'll need someone to try and replicate the crash. I am unable to do so!

#37 - "Read the CEO's letter" in the Todo list comes back
Resolved - The CEO's Letter is now being saved into the prison file. The player must open the letter, click on delete, and then save their game. Starting a new game will show the letter again.

All reports were tested using Bugbash-1a pc steam on Windows 7 64bit with no mods running.

@ Reef,

I'm uncertain how to proceed (send a pm to the devs, reopen the unresolved issues, etc...) so I'll allow you to make that call. Or, do we wait for other testers to check my work?

Cheers

Nice work Rgeezy911!
I 'd say it's a good call to wait with any action untill Reef gets on.
I'll assume we'll have to see the conclusion of the discussion on PM before anything :)
Without a version label for BugBash-1 bugs things can get confusing fast :p

I'm happy to test your findings on my system to confirm, when I get home.

Edit:
The Crash with de-zoning solitary cells, does it happen as long as you have prisoners in your prison, or only if a prisoner is in the de-zoned cell?

The crash will always happen so long as there is a single prisoner on the land. However, I have done further testing, and it seems to happen occasionally when there are no prisoners at all.

Also, I forgot to mention I am using no mods during testing.
