Hi there!
I don´t know which resolutions are supported by the Linux version of Defcon (which I plan to get asap after I received my Asus eeePC in january), but my windows version does NOT support a screen resolution of 800 x 480
Could it be possible to add this resolution in the next update?
I´m sure Defcon could be the perfect game for this small machine!

Defcon will allow you any resolution the card supports. On my machine, this is what I get:
However, the eeePC might not be fast enough to run Defcon anyway. The chipset in that is 910GML, even my PM965 has trouble during a large match, and I've got a core 2 duo at 1.5GHz to back it up.

Thank you for the fast answer neothermic, but I already know (since day 1), which options are available on my windows PC.
According to a post here: http://forum.eeeuser.com/viewtopic.php?id=5994, it works quite well on an eee after disabling smooth lines.
I´ll check and report in the beginning of january.

The Windows, Linux and Mac versions all use SDL to determine what resolutions the card can provide. Ergo to Defcon, it'll support anything your card indicates it can do.

The key to Defcon is to keep a minimum framerate above 10fps. Below that and the network performance suffers, lagging you out of a game. That can be difficult in a 6 player game, but for 1v1's it's more than possible. That might change in the future, mind
Plus, please do check back; it'll be interesting to know what works.

910gml is fine for defcon.
That surprises me. The PM965 has speed performance issues (framerate hovers around 20, drops below 10 at points).

hahahhaha are you sure, this is from the official source " The Mobile Intel® PM965 Express Chipset provides Microsoft Windows Vista Premium* support with the highest level of Windows Aero* experience¹."
Yes, that looks almost like the tripe that they plaster on mid-range nvidia chips (like the 8600), and we all know how well they perform *cough* *cough*.
Even a x2600 on this PC has issues with a 6 player game when there's nukes flying everywhere (for giggles, try doing a rolling demo, that's just three players but at defcon 1 it can bring machines to their knees)...
