Why not death by radiation?

Deaths by radiation were never part of the game. The radiation effect exists simply because I got bored one day and added a green glow where ever a nuke went off.
Radiation induced casualties wouldn't really make sense anyway though. Most games take place across the space of a few hours - anyone exposed to enough radiation to kill them in at amount of time are probably within the blast zone of the nuke and killed instantly anyway. All the radiation deaths occur long after the game has finished

# C = city name, D = number of deaths

I'm not going to argue with you, obviously, I'm just going on observations from the files. Fallout deaths (which is caused by radiation) were considered, or that message wouldn't exist.

It says the same (or equivalent) in my 1.43 version too.
