in-game nuclear attack videos?
My recent photos/wallpapers got me thinking about the possibility of in-game nuclear detonations. City-specific, mind you.
Are there any "Civilization IV" players here? What I propose is somthing like what happens when a city builds a "wonder". But instead of say, The Colossus of Rhodes being built, you have Paris going up in nuclear fury.It should be optional though, you should be able to turn them on or off, or just like the "wonder" videos in CivIV, you ould just click "okay" the moment it appeared.
maybe it would work? I just thought i'd get a random idea out there...

A large part of the atmosphere of Defcon is a result of the fact that it's so detached - you don't know or care what the actual consequences are. Also, IV themselves sure as hell won't make them - they have no artists on staff (hence the minimalist appearance of all of their games).
Sure, such animations would be cool, but I doubt they'd fit in the context of the game.

I agree, it would only detract from the atmosphere of this game.
