Sprite advice?

Hello all,

I'm currently developing my first overhaul mod and I'm in desperate need of knowledge on how to change sprites completely and how to re-skin them to a completely different style. But I can't find a decent tutorial anywhere. Can someone please give me a guide?

I just recently started looking at modding Prison Architect, and so far the best singular source of info I've been able to find is this wiki on github: https://github.com/aubergine10/Prison-Architect-API/wiki as stated it's not complete, but anyone can edit it, so as I find missing info from other sources I've been trying to fill in the blanks in the hopes it will develop into the goto source of info for modding Prison Architect.
