You will need game source code and some knowledge how to work with it. I advice you to ask for source code Chris or Mark, explain them why do you need that and promise you'll give it to no one else - maybe they'll give it for free. Maybe not, but you're not going to lose anything but couple of minutes on writing messages.

You can buy the source code for most of their games directly from Introversion here:

http://www.introversion.co.uk/store/

The going rate is $45. That's how much everyone else had to pay (myself included).

Depends on what kind of mod you are looking into making. Editing faction layout and unit graphics are pretty easy to modify however editing unit behavior and strength would require the Source Code.

I think I can help you there. I have made a 1980's Cold War mod set plus I made a mod for What-if WW3 broke out in 2012 as well as a Korean Escalation mod.

Experiment can you link me to the zip folders for those mods. I have trouble downloading your 1980's mod because it isn't a zip file.

Cold War 1980's: http://www.moddb.com/mods/defcon-cold-war-1980s
Defcon Modern Warfare: 2012 Edition: http://www.moddb.com/mods/defcon-modern ... 12-edition

I have completed the maps to the Korean escalation mod however I have not yet released it due to the uncertainty of basing it off current events that have the potential of becoming reality overnight.

Send me a pm to give tips (or to explain everything, based on the difficulty of modding this :) )
