Thats true but you need two licenses for that right on 2 seperate machines?

No, you can open multiple Defcon clients with one machine, one key for single player purposes.

Defcon will tell you about the dublicated key and offer you to play demo. One Demo per game should work. Also works on a single Computer, but you might have to reenter the key afterwards.
Edit: Right, if you disable InternetAdvertising in AdvancedOptions, you might get away without switching to demo.

That kind of worked but the game bogged down and had a connection issue..
