Tiberium Defcon Nod Campaign

Postby jamo » Mon Nov 23, 2009 8:33 pm

What's changed ? - Absolutely everything possible, that you can change and edit from the defcon files.
1. Music - Tiberium Wars music.
2. GUI - NOD Interface.
3. World Map - Planet Earth covered in tiberium. A high resolution detailed 3d map of earth.
4. Menu appearance - NOD Style ( Black & Red ).
5. Nuclear explosions - Liquid tiberium bomb detonation.
6. Territories - New interesting and challenging territories.
7. Only a few cities have survived the tiberium infestation.
8. New units - banshees, vertigo bombers, redeemers, nod battleships, LQ Ichor nukes, combat carriers, nod missile silos, nod temples and ion disruption generators.
9. New font style - Russel Square - Tiberium Wars font.
10. When starting the game you will have to wait a few seconds - it's a bit slow. But hey you will love that mod I guarantee.
11. How to install ? - Click on the nod icon and the SFX installer will appear, then you must browse where to install the mod - in which directory. Choose Defcon/mods amd you are done.
12. If you have any problems please contact me.
13. This is a critical mod - it cannot be mixed up with other mods!

Well, I suppose my real question is why does it need an installer? Why not just post, or post along with the .exe, the mod files?

That the same as zip or rar file, it unzip files to a location in your hard drive..

I'm downloading it and let me check if there is something ...

I just wanted to make it easier for unzipping and installing. Besides it looks cool with the nod icon.

Yep, but the .exe files are an easy target for virus and trojan, especially with this kind of unsure hosting..

Edit: The file is safe, you will get a folder "Tiberium Defcon" with 503 mo as data

What's the copyright status of the files you've used?

Defcon is available for Linux and Mac too. Users of these versions wont be able to install your Mod. A zip file would be the overall better solution.

(Questions about the copyright seems academic or educational, since this mod will go the same fast way as any other mod: oblivion)
