The game still sounded eerie and creepy with the bunker noises and funereal soundtrack. The first order of business was replacing the sound of a blast with happy cheering children. This wasn't hard to orchestrate, but it was nearly impossible to get working in game for reasons still unknown to us. Next we had to recruit a santa to yell "Ho Ho Ho" the minute gifts started launching from one country. Finally we were left with an eerie soundtrack and some happy sounds...we needed some public domain music.

The text part of the mod doesn't seem to be completely compatible with the newest version. I really thought it was a shame, so I did a quick and dirty fix of it by adding a bit of default text where necessary to the file, and took some liberties in other places (couldn't think of a proper way to replace DEFCON X [5,4,3,2,1] with December X [21,22,23,24,25]). Uploaded it in case there were someone who wanted to play the mod over Christmas, but were too lazy to go through the files. just put the english.txt file in the data/language folder of the mod and it will work fine.
