Mods and File

Postby skyray » Sat Mar 17, 2012 9:51 pm

Hi All:
I was trying to re-install some o the mods after reloading the game onto a spare system. I loaded off my disk, downloaded the mods and went to install them into the 'Mods' folder when I discovered....it wasn't there. The 'Mods' folder I mean. I did a re-installation and got the same...no 'Mods' file. I managed to fix the problem I think by going into the program files, creating a new folder called 'Mod' and dropping it into the defcon file. Then I extracted the mods into that folder and now they appear in the game's mod listings. Anyone else ever have to do something like that?
I was also wondering if any of the older (1.4.3 version) mods from the Ambrosia site will actually work in the current version or if anyone knows how to get them to. I really like the sound of some of them. Thanks.

Everyone had to do that every time, or the quicker thing of just extracting the mods directly in the program folder. Well behaved mods create the mods directory that way.
And yeah, all old mods should be compatible.
