Defcon does not prompt for password

Defcon 1.43 on Steam does not prompt for passwords on password protected games. A quick Google search for "Defcon" and "Invalid Password" results in several other people who have had this problem. My gaming group has this trouble as well, everyone on the same version of Defcon and Steam.

Steps to reproduce:
Host: Create a new game, Set the password
Player: Join game, select the game from the list, right click, dialog appears, click connect
Error message is "Invalid Password Entered" yet it never prompted for one.

My PC:
Steam built Jan 5, 2009
Defcon 1.43
Windows XP SP3
2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
4GB RAM
nVidia Geforce 8600M GT
1600x1200

Yep. It also doesn't prompt when you connect via direct IP entry. Just connect with a regular left click in the server list as a workaround.

Not only is this so trivial it should be fixed by now, but it should also be on the FAQ in the mean time. I should not have had to register for an account and post on a forum for a trivial UI error that is so easily answered.
