help with game recordings using dedcon

Postby White--Rabbit » Mon Mar 24, 2008 3:26 pm

Hello

Im trying to record games from the dedcon dedicated server. In my configuration file this is what I use to record:

Record C:\Program Files\DedCon\recording.dcrec

It wont work. Is there something else that I have to add to the config file to get the recordings to work. Do I have to create the .dcrec first or does that happen automagicly. Ive tried both ways but still no recording.

Any help would be appreciated

Thx

WR

I've never tried it, but have you made sure to follow this instruction?

In berts instructions it says to use Record <filename>. I left in the less than greater than symbols in and it wouldnt work. I took them out and presto. My bad

At least you didn't look for the any key!

From your OP, it looks like you knew you didn't have to use the Greater/Less Than symbols (as you didn't include them), so obviously it was an absent minded mistake, which we all get from time to time. Don't worry about it.

Copy past the command line in your Config.txt

Code: Select all

Record recording-%F.%H.%M.%S.dcrec

When the game finished you can find it in your DedCon folder..
