Basic Tips

So, looking through my screenshots, found some things that might help some of you out there trying to get ahead in 2v2.

First up:
Image
The main issue I have here is the disconnect between bb's and carriers. If you have a gun and a knife with the guy standing right in front of you, stab and shoot him. Don't shoot him and then later come by and stab him. Get it done faster by doing both at the same time. Besides, if you don't, he will.

In short, don't send out large numbers of bb's without carrier support. Conversely, don't send out large numbers of carriers without bb support, if you have them. You wouldn't see any real world commander doing the above. Those fighters coming in are almost worthless now. No fuel range left, bombers are way out of range anyway, etc.

Second: (and I see this too often)

Image
The problem here is once again, by the time the bombers get near the targets, the only protection (that might be gone) is bb's. No chance of fighter support or a quick retreat to the carrier. This might not seem like a big problem, but if he sees your bombers, they've got to go halfway around the world to get to safety. Instead, keep carriers close and if needed, land the bombers retreat the carriers while scrambling fighters and let the bb's hold back the counter attack. Rinse, repeat.

Once again, here you have a disjointed navy. Overwhelming force wasted. 12 loaded carriers facing a few enemy ships. If you got the power, use it.

Two problems here:

Image
First and most obvious, don't send your most valuable non-renewable air resource into uncharted territory where the enemy is almost certainly going to be. That double line is a march to the death for those bombers.

Second, be aware of possible scouting/sub strike positions. Russian silos too far south are easy pickings for fighters/bombers/subs stationed off India. This rule applies to all territories.

Example: USA silos are vulnerable to Mexican attack, South American silos in Brazil are easy pickings for an EU/USA enemy, etc, etc. In short, think before you place and if you're not sure, ask your partner.

Yes very helpful. Shoot him then come back and stab him, ha.

(And yes he replied to the thread just to show his "kewl" avatar, since we all know The_Reds is Vicious JR.)
