does absence make your defconning worse

Postby world idiot » Tue Sep 25, 2007 7:43 pm

a 2 week absence has screwed up my style, now i cannot even beat noobs arg, so i have rooted the problem down to 2 main causes:
1- poor strategy in 6 player games, e.g. attacking at the wrong time etc.
2-my naval combat has become worse than ever.

Now i am not bad in 1v1 my strength has not altogether dwindled, but playing the 6 player game again has showed that i need work, so any hints to getting back onto the right path, or as Buddha puts it, the 'middle way'.

I'll answer this post if I remember too in about two weeks after I've come back from vacation.

Leaving tomorrow morning, so no more Defcon till at least Oct 8th.. Wonder how far my rank will drop...

I was away from playing the game properly due to constant connection problems. Nowadays, now I have (not actually, but it works now) fixed it, I am playing really badly.

I think we shall see once I finally move into my new place and no longer have to commute to London most days. Seeing how I was pretty bad at 1v1 before, I'm not expecting much. A total drubbing by everyone, including the people who've never beaten me ever is definitely on the cards.

I don't think I'll even go into 6 player (well, maybe diplo, I was always good at that); it's changed. Now everything is really fast and right on the half-hour mark, while I'm still planning the grand assault.

Whoops, I accidentally voted yes. After playing two duels and a totally random game, I'm still here. Look out Hyperion...
