Favorite Game Mode?

Postby [SC] Pravus » Tue Aug 07, 2007 6:36 pm

So yeah, vote on your fav game mode and leave a little reason below.
(remember, everyone is entitled to their own opinion! :D )

Mine is Survivor. :twisted:

Survivor takes the most skill, unlike Genocide. Genocide is fun for little fast games, but is relatively easy to just go and "nub it"

("Nubbing It" is just speeding to Def 1 and launching everything and hoping you end up with the most kills. :P )

Survivor requires that you watch anything and everything, and be careful.
Default is average....I would say its pretty much default. :roll:

Default. It bears both benefits and disadvantages of both survivor and genocide modes.

I tend to play single player, as my video card can't keep up with larger games. Hence the scoring mode really doesn't matter, as it is all zero sum. That being said, I really like RADAR defense. ;)

It is the card that comes on a 4 year old PowerBook. Some ATi onboard POS.

Survivor.

I play a very defensive game style so this works well for me. I don't like genocide, but I do like the "ah-ha! but!..." value of default.

Survivor - why would anyone nuke worthless infidels while putting their own godly populations at undue risk?

Translation - I don't like playing points-grab defcon! Survivor mode makes 1v1 tactics somewhat more applicable for larger games. You can also win by staying out of hostilities :shock:

Favourite mode: 1v1v1. Next favourite, diplomacy ...

( 6p, 6 possible starting positions;
1v1, 30 possible pairings;
1v1v1, 120 possible starting combinations. Plus the need to avoid antagonising people... 8) )

Cheers, Tripper

i hate diplo, mine is default because i am a semi-aggressive player i.e. i use blitzkrieg navy and a defensive 1v1 silo placement

survivor - its most like the scoring system of real thermonuclear war :twisted:

and therefore has similar tactics - counter value/counter force attacks etc
