Every mod I've seen is for the PC version only...
Are there some out there for Macs?

Actually, I found those already. What I was looking for was a way to increase the difficulty of the game, I'm already a Techno-mage

The Mac source code has not been released due to copyright and liscencing issues, so no mac mods (other than gatesways, skins and whatnot) I'm afraid

How do I get the Gateway mods to work on a Mac? It seems to have a different set up than my windows machine.
I could really use a tip or two.

Thanks

erm... it I recall corectly...

Unzip to folder called Data for, the data, and Graphics for the graphics. You will bomb if you forget to put the graphics in. Also, keep the directories, if it's graphics/mod/gateway/awful.gif, make sure it stays that way :)

That's not a full fledged source MOD.  The new MODs for the PC version are recompiled from the source meaning much greater changes have been made.  :)

So what you're saying is that "The Mod" for the PC is MUCH different from "The Mod for the Mac, even though they seem to be the same Mod. And besides, isn't the source CD the program pre-compiled? So really, it is the original source for all the versions so that means you can make a Mod for Mac, Linux, and of course Winblows. Or am I wrong?

As far as I know "the MOD" is basically the same for both Mac and PC.  However a while ago Introversion release the soure code for the game in the form of the DevCD.  This allows people who buy the DevCD to do just about anything they want as far as changing the game.  Previously you could only do graphical, audio, textual, changes (though with some hardcore edition WolfLord was able to fix the IRC adress in the game before he had the DevCD).  However the DevCD only has the Linux/Windows source code on it because IV cannot release the Mac code due to licensing (Mac code and PC code are very different).  Now, there are a  good number of DevCD Mods which add new software, storylines, servers, etc, but they are only for the PC.  Currently Mac users cannot do the same since they can't get the source code.      :)
