Going back to the keys and locks, I think that the lower level monitors, proxys and firewalls have the key icon whereas the higher level ones have the lock icon. I think.

not... quite... close

Higher levels mean it takes longer to change from lock to key...

Move a bypasser on a level 5 after bypassing... the key is still there
