i have seen it....and i didnt find anything relevantly related to UPLINK....pls tell me.

The skyscraper is the Nakatomi building.

Although I still don't know why the patch is called the Nakatomi patch.

Btw, I like the quote from the movie, "I'm Agent Johnson, this is Special Agent Johnson, no relation." (The one agent is black and the other is white.)

It was called Nakatomi as the patch was wanted by "die hard" fans of uplink. It's in book 4! It says it all right there! Here is a direct quote from the readme.txt in it;

You've just unlocked Book4.  This covers the continued development of Uplink, from
Version 1.01 (released October 2001) until the present day (July 2002).  
In this time we've completed work on the Nakatomi patch for Uplink
(aimed squarely at the all Die Hard Uplink fans out there)

Also, the Nakatomi tower is located in LA where E3 took place. IV went to E3 in 2002 and that is where they got the idea from. In book 4 you see Mark standing infront of it.

I think that the computer game Die Hard: Nakatomi Plaza was comming out at about the same time as the 1.2 Nakatomi patch for Uplink.
Not sure if that had something to do with it. (Maybe the anouncement of the game made them think of Die Hard?)
