BS hacker, is simply a game like Uplink, but more realistic etc, and is set in one place, and its a pretty amazing game, it requires quick fingers lol, as it shows a timer etc, ive played and completed it,. so i would give it a 9/10

There are two reasons Uplink is more popular than better hacking games:
1. GUI
2. the tutorial doesn't utterly suck

Despite the fact that TC is an idiot, he's right, Blue Sky is pretty fun, albeit rough around the edges production wise.

A lot more immersive, even if it is still sensationalised. Crackinga bank for example goes something like this:

scan bank-blah.atm

Set up bounces

crack bank-blah.atm

Wait

decrypt bank-blah.atm

connect bank-blah.atm

transfer 5000

Wait 3 mins for transfer to complete

Killtrace and logout before traced.

Everything is a lot more realistically slow, but still very tense, and you can abort things like cracks and encryption key decryptions if the trace is coming for you, plus you do most of the hacking before connecting, so you get to relax and think between stages instead of rushing, although several stages have their own seperate trace.

Lots of fun, well suited to modding, and in depth mission style, not too hard like you'd expect a console based game to be either. Just don't expect a thriving community.
