When i first starting playing uplink I was absolutely blown away and couldnt pull myself away from the game as it was so original and completely different than all the other games I had ever played. It was a truly enjoyable experience and I would love to see a sequel though I've heard its not going to happen.

However, I think that the gameplay does get old really fast as after you figure out how to do a certain kind of hack there is not much excitement left in doing it again and again and again for more money.

To me uplink is like the flash burn of games. Its extremenly creative, new, original, and fun for a very short time but burns out rather quickly.

Not true. At least not for me. I usually play through a game from beginning to end 6 or 7 times before I get bored of it.

well for me there was the huge adrenaline rush with the first hacks (file delete, got caught a lot of times) now its gone, only a trace running close to zero does the same thing but its not the same.

I rarely get the adrenaline rush - even on the first missions when I first played the game - I was too good and made large bounce roots so I almost always had ample time. Therefore, it was too easy for me.

I've been playing for weeks and started (and got caught on) hundreads of users.
I still get the adrenaline rush on back robbing no matter how many times I do it on the same user.

Is there something wrong with new subject? You seem to like replying to old topics like this, and it's pretty darn funny. But stop doing it. Seriously.
When I first came in and you were bumping old topics it confused me because I didn't know where they came from, and i'm sure other people who register will be confused by it, so STOP.
Made you look!

Why not try to set some challanges for yourself? Like hacking without knowing the time remaining before trace or going through the whole game with the first gateway.

Yeah, playing the game with default hardware is fun and damn near impossible :P
