I went to Internic before the mission, got all the internal services machines, and deleted the machines with no firewall to circumvent the "sticking" bug (don't ask, I've got it figured out).  During the mission, I literally infected every machine on my map, I had admin access on all the machines, and they all gave a 404 error, or were flashing red.  Revelation did NOT spread to my gateway, and, having nothing to do, I got caught by Uplink.  Rev. is 3.0 and Faith is 2.2.  I started with machines in South America and moved across the continents.  Any suggestions?

Okay, does anyone have an answer to my problem?  Randy, that's interesting, but not an answer to my problem.  Has this happened to anyone?  I really don't think I'm not fast enough.

I believe Uplink will always catch you if you work for ARC, you are a bad guy after all.  The only way around it is to watch the gateway monitor and nuke your gateway right before you are caught.  :)

So how do you get the Grand Tour badge?  There must be a way to succesfully complete the mission!

You complete it by destroying the Internet.

That means everything, including your gateway. Revelation has to spread everywhere, in order to complete this mission, making the internet have a rather fatal fault. That will end the game, but you'll get your badge and it will be displayed when you try to log into that user again. " :) "

So basically, if you do the ARC side, you'll either get caught or kill the internet.

So what are you saying?  Infect your own system?  If so, when?

Do that when almost the whole map is red. Either that, or let Revelation spread to your gateway.

you cannot run the program fast enough when you have to use the firewall and proxy bypass everytime you connect. is there another way around this? what is the fastest way to infect? even after i have nuked 25% the virus doesnt spread on its own.

I cant go any faster...i broke the password on over half of the internal services...only used the firewall to disable... had 3/4 of the internal services shutdown...and still revelation failed...does anyone have a solution to getting it to spread? the faith version was at .2 but i had to wait for the grand mission to come up...when it came it was at ver 2.2 and rev at 3.0...is there another way to go faster? do i need to infect other services besides the internal ones? any help would be greatly appreciated!

I failed that mission miserably, I even got Every single uplink agent arrested and it was 3.0 vs 0.2 lol. (maybe it was 2.2??? dunno)

The thing I find funny is that GrandTour is amazingly hard and CounterAttack is Amazingly easy, even if faith is a lower level...I beat it first try 2.2 vs 3.0...

But if anyone has a huge tip for GrandTour I would like to know too...

The other thing, if you just want to see what happens play the faith side and don't do anything...Uplink goes wacko.

EDIT: Yeah Yeah... I bumped an old post, sorry....Just putting this here so someone doesn't post belw saying Stop bumping old posts....which i Personally think is a stupid thing to do because you are bumping it while saying not to...
