So i have heard about multiplayer mods and that they have eventually faded into cyber net without the mod being finished. I think if we all really put our minds to it we could make a stable dedicated server system for steam cmd or dedicated console. and we can add extra stuff by leeching every topic on the forums about what multiplayer would be like and implementing many ideas as a community. i have some links that might help with the multiplayer coding since we will need to code a server: http://trac.bookofhook.com/bookofhook/trac.cgi/wiki/IntroductionToMultiplayerGameProgramming http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2379585/server-programming-simple-multiplayer-game-which-protocol-and-technologies http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/13071/Programming-Windows-TCP-Sockets-in-C-for-the-Begin http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/1891/Beginning-Winsock-Programming-Simple-TCP-server http://gafferongames.com/networking-for-game-programmers/what-every-programmer-needs-to-know-about-game-networking/ Now believe me i know that it is not as simple as it sounds but it cant be impossible can it?

It's definitely possible, but how many players do you think you'll get if you do this? I guarantee, no more than 5 simultaneously.

It's great that you have ambition, really awesome. Go put it to good use! Uplink multiplayer is a lost cause, I'm afraid.
