hotkey/keyboard mod?

I just started playing Uplink (I know, I know, way late). One thing that I would love to be able to do is assign running programs to hotkeys, or even to be able to have a command console on my gateway to work with. Does anyone know of a mod that allows that?

I don't think there is one, however, it's a good idea.
Haven't seen it suggested in a long while, if ever, but presumably the former, a long time ago.
