Uplink and palm OS
wouldn't it be cool to be able to use a palm OS powered device as an extra tool, or to have the game on such a device?

Chris stated that if anyone in the DevCD Community felt up to it he would give them the altered code for Uplink that was for PDA's. TimTim decided to work on it, but Chris never got back to him about it, not surprising considering they are working on Darwinia at the moment.

Well I'll drop Chris an email again mentioning it, and see what he says. If he gives me the source, I'll go work on it with TimTim and a few other DevCD people to see if we can get it to work, and if it does, well we can let Chris know, and let him decide what to do with it from there.

Couple of things:
However, that doesn't necessarily prohibit anything from happening. If you've got experience developing for Palm OS, then there's no harm in contacting IV about it.
- The PDA Uplink project has essentially been canned. It was suggested that DevCD owners could help working on it, but nothing came of it. I gather IV concluded it just wouldn't work.
- The work that was done was for PocketPC - i.e. Windows CE rather than Palm OS.
